Can i cancel the recurring subscription that you get on your second account with the special? I dont want to deactivate the account just make it not auto renew |

Yes just cancel and it will last until the time paid for is up. Then you can renew...or not. |

If he opts for not, he can renew later. CCP is highly unlikely to delete the account data. In the Skillz forum, we frequently hear from players who subscribed back in 2005 or 06 but then left, only to come back now, and resume use of their old accounts.

Yeah deactivating of the account happens automatically when it runs out of time.
They're pretty much never deleted.

Most MMO's I've played free up the name after some time and when you get back you have to be lucky it's not taken as you were gone, if it was you'd need to choose a new name. Is that the same in EVE? |

I've never heard of anyone even claiming that their account was deleted.

CCP has the right to delete inactive accounts to free up space and release names.
However practically I believe it has never happened yet. I've seen people return after 3+ years and still have their characters. |

Thanks, I guess it's both a blessing as a curse. You can come back and all is fine but it also means that new players will have to come up with increasingly "weird" names as good or logical ones will be taken by inactive characters. |

I've never yet heard of anyone complain that all the names are taken. If the one you want is taken then think of a more original one.
Annoys me when I see deliberate mis-spellings or whatever, just because Angelina Jolie is taken they call themself Angelina Jollie or Angleina Jolie... I mean really... be more original!

Hmz...so far made over 20+ characters...never found a single name that was taken.
If you find names that are taken, it means you lack any form of creativity and pick the way to obvious names. |
