Sweet Fresca, aye I agree that the incident itself is quite different, but it is not the incident that is in question now in this discussion. It is the question of "if" the CEO and the Corporation of the member doing bad things should be held responsible for the memberĘs actions.

What Overkill is trying to say is when bad things happened at HDY with TTI, Overkill was pretty much slapped in the face publicly and so forth, though, like Ragnar, had no knowledge of the event ever taking place.

Also, like Ragnar, Overkill actively attempted to rectify the situation with what he deemed the best course of action.

Now you could bring up the point of damage done to the corporation/players in the game. I agree that what has happened with TTI is a simple refund of ISK and everyone moves on their way simple as that. HDY's conflict was a little more complicated, but you should also take into consideration that the even also took place in Beta (beta 4) i believe back in December. Since it was Beta, anything that happens in Beta i.e. the loss of corporate assets and such, are obviously pointless because as p-wipes occurred and the game going gold, you wouldnĘt have had those assets in the long run in the first place.

So now we come back to the question of "if" the CEO and the corporation of the said member should be held responsible for the memberĘs actions. Well, regardless of how severe the action against the corporation is, a precedence of sort, has been set and established, by TTI itself already. In my views, to set the standard so to speak, and then have the same thing happen to them and expect things to be different I think is rather pathetic. But hey, wtf do I know about running a corporation and inter-corporation relations and all that garbage Very Happy

Who said that the TTI Execs "expected" things to be handled differently, Deathwing? As far as I can see only two people have: you and Overkill. And last time I checked, neither of you are TTI Execs. :)

As TTI doesn't see a direct profit from his deals we can hardly be blamed for also not accepting the blame for its downfall.

I dunno, from that statement, it sure sounds like things "should" be different for your case shouldnĘt it. Though I will give you the benefit of the doubt on this one, no, you may not "Expect" things to be different for this case, but you are sure building yourself a nice little card house incase something like happens again.

We will be posting a message on our website stating that ANY transaction involving a member of TTI is done with the individual and not the parent company.

Rough Translation: Feel free to conduct business with any of our members, though if they rip you off, we (TTI) do not accept any responsibility for the said memberĘs actions and you are on your own.

Quote:
By requiring the individual to accept responsibility we ensure two things, first that the corporation won't be financially crippled by the occasional "bad deal" and second that the individual indeed accepts responsibility for their actions.

No translation here, I just think this is pure bs. Any member, of any corporation should have to accept the responsibility of their actions, regardless of what Corporate Policy is. Now, i am also not saying that if the member screws up, the corporation in which he resides shouldnĘt be held responsible also. Think of it like this. The Employee is a minor, and the Corporation in which he resides, is their legal guardian. For all you slow ones out there, that means the Corporation is responsible for the memberĘs actions.

Quote:
We aren't looking at restitution because of money lost but because this person (Vexx) hasn't fulfilled his duties to his customers. We are indeed under no obligation to do so but instead do so because in this case it is the right thing to do.

Rough Translation: Again I say we shouldnĘt have to take the blame for our memberĘs actions, but because we are so nice, we will pay back the lost isk to all the people our member has ripped off.
