EVE Search - Never Deal With Thieves, Even Large Ones.

I must commend TTi for wanting to do the right thing and for the CEO himself to come and participate in the discussion however I am reminded of a situation not long ago where a Most Favored Corporation was involved (unknowingly) when some of its members attacked holdings of a friendly Corporation. Even though the CEO of the Most Favored Corporaiton had no knowledge of this (even the attackers admitted this) they were still held responsible. "I didn't know what they were up to" is not an excuse or has that changed in the past months? To further the story, the CEO of this accused Corporation helped the investigation, nay in fact he INITIATED the investigation jointly with the aggrieved friendly Corporation yet was still publically wrist slapped. I think we can also sympathize with the fact that in this particular case TTI was as blindsided by these accusations as anyone else. Here I can agree with you 110% because it has happend to HDY (as my first response in this thread indicated) and that incident involved TTi who turned around and attempted a public spanking of Hadean with a big debate about whether they should hunt us down and all sorts of other scary topics. I just find it somewhat satisfying that Ragnar finally knows what it feels like to be in the shoes that others have stood in. By having a Corporate employee (no matter how loosely associated) act in a manner unbecoming the ideals that TTi does stand for it seems that things have come full circle. Life has a way of balancing things... Karma I believe is the word. Anyways, in a friendly gesture, here's mud in your eye (in otherwords its all in good sport). From the previous dealings with TTi and having received (for the most part) "nose in air" tactics I've learned that dealing with TTi is at ones own risk and sanity. No, neither Deathwing nor I are Executives in TTi however we have both been Executives in our own right through our EVE careers so your point is moot unless you are saying that we don't dictate policy to TTi in which case thats a no brainer and stating it was bad form more than anything else. Oh don't get me wrong, TTi has some wonderful people whom I've come to know in real life as well as in game and I even pick up the phone and call some of them on a regular basis to "shoot the breeze" so its not a slight against the individual people. If Deathwing and myself, who have had more arguements than Bonny and Clyde, can agree on an issue then you should really sit back and examine the issue itself instead of claiming "foul play" and thinking that people are out to tarnish TTi's "good name". TTi is not infallible, I understand that, and I'm sure most of the business minded people in the game understand that. However TTi should be accountable for ANYONE who legitmently uses the Taggart name. Yes, yes you are stepping to the plate and sorting through the evidence to pay people back who were ripped off by a potentially rogue member however the statement you plan to issue on your website is corporate suicide and a move that I am most surprised Ragnar might make. Despite my personal thoughts on Ragnar's past actions and attitudes when it came to dealing with things the way he did, I am most surprised that he would make a mistep like this, its not like him. Anyways, I've read enough to know that aside from a couple of members of TTi the rest will bandy this back and forth until it either goes away or they get their "vindication". As for you "Ayn Rand" I am not trying to blemish anyones good name. Success does not always mean that people will come out of the woodwork to strike you down. There are many Corporations within EVE which exemplify this very point. Look, here are three nails and you can just climb on up that cross if you feel that persecutred.
