It is too easy to fly these ships. They go faster than my mega with out a microwarp drive, its not fair! I mean, why should some 1 day old new be able to fly around empire in a defenseless shuttle faster than I can fly in my mega? I think this needs to be looked at ASAP.
Mods, feel free to move this in the "whats-it-called-suggestions-forum" if you think this belongs there.
And while we're at it, I also think that the shuttles should have their cargo space removed all together. It is not fair that someone can run simple courier missions or transport two modules in shuttle just like that. This insanity has to come to a stop!
Here are my suggested changes to skill requirements for shuttles:
-Racial frig V
-Racial shuttle skill I
-Mechanic V
-Engineering V
-Electronics V
-Navigation V
-Weapons Upgrades V
-Advanced Weapons Upgrades III

I heard that t2 shuttles will have lots of EW, insane resists, mount XL sized weapons, and will give huge command bonuses.

Shuttles also need nerfing it has way to much powergrid and CPU compared to a freighter.

so.. what you say is that a shuttle, simpelest of all ships (besides a pod maybe) should be more than three times as hard to fly as an assult frig? thats a great idea. exept you missed the point that it has 10m3, no slots and the only reason than it goes faster than your huge, weapon filled, high tech BS is because its so damn small.
anything else you wanna say?

Nah I think freighters need a boost. They should have at least a few thousand CPU, and should be able to fit a covert ops cloak.

Really I thought it was more a commentary on all the skills required to fly the newer tech II ships and the specialisation skills. Mind you I dont nessicarrily disagree with those but I do remember back in the day when tech I was level I and tech II was level IV :p
