If we couldn't fight/camp on gates there would be a huge drop in pvp outside of FW. Without the choke points of gates there is very few things to force a fight. Even bubble mechanics would have to change to keep fights relevant. And just imagine the tears of bubbles pulling you out of warp half way. ;) |

Actually as someone that has camped a gate with a scan res of 2700mm i can confirm this is the case. I have also breezed past insta locking t3's with my single nano maulus. |

Confirming only pods and shutles are 100% safe if enough remote sensor boosters are applied.
I read something about CCP not "being happy" about it, i think. It may change in Odyssey 1.5.
Meanwhile, as last resort, campers are often confident about bonused-linked-faction-overheated scramblers being able to stop anything, so they may not have disruptors. If that is the case and you have a well alingned celestial, mwd and spam warp, they will surely web you but you may get away from scram range, warping out.
