Well, seeing the recent influx of people whining about other people stealing songs for their video, Ive decided to set this list up for people to state which songs they will be using as there will hopefully be less confusion. I suppose Ill kick it off with these numbers:
Hybrid Stigmata - Dimmu Borgir
House of Secrets - Otep
Any and all songs by Meshuggah
Feel free to continue.
(On a side note, if anyone feels the need to use any of the songs I have mentioned above, feel free to contact me ingame so we can work out a deal in which you go broke paying me for the song usage  )

just kidding ofc.. I like the idea for those that might be curious. But people like me, since I've downloaded 99% of the eve videos posted since July 24th of last year, personally, I know if I've heard a track before or not.
I don't think (as of late) anyone was "whining" per se.. sounded like some were just work in progress, and someone else beat them to posting it and others felt the need to comment that they were just about to use it. I haven't seen flame wars and war decs over using each other's music yet  and doubt there will be any.
This posting could also have the reverse effect. Example: I find a rocking tune I can't believe no one has used before. It pwnZoRz. I find this thread, and post it. Now everyone can check out this song, and others could be an ass about it and make their own movie first using your so-called "claimed" track. Hopefully it won't, I for one wouldn't, but it would be interesting to see how long it will be honored.
Anywho, I'll close by saying it's a novel idea, and I'll be interested to see where this thread goes.

hmm guess I will claim all forms of teeny pop. Videos forum beware of lots of frigates dueling high sec rats to the tunes of S Club, Britney, Westlife and others.

Since I have no idea what started this I'll continue to..erm...guess
that 99% of all video music is STOLEN anyway. Can you say MP3?
The one person who came up with the idea of someone stealing songs is a ****.
Unless you are the composer or in other ways have the rights to the song
noone can ever steal it from you. Because its not yours.
Its a challange finding the right music to fit your video. As it should be.
If someone happens to use the song you had in mind before you...tough luck.
Use it again (Im pretty sure no one really cares if it fits ok.
Think out side of the box if you want to stay orginial.
