Not too bad a place, been once a couple years ago (cant remember name of where I stayed).
The bazaars are interesting places, just about anything you want to buy takes about 20 mins of haggeling. Start price usually about ú500 for something you end up paying around ú5 for. Course you can just buy stuff from shops but bazaars are worth stopping by at least, just keep a close eye on your wallet. Some good quality leather stuff there.
Where I was it was pretty chilling & relaxing.

When I went, it was with my parents. On the plane there my dad got up to go to the toilet as the plane hit turbulence, fell and broke his nose. When the plane landed, he was whisked off in an ambulance, and we were left at the airport no idea where he was been taken to or where our hotel was. we were met by some sort of government embassy rep though and picked up in a limo to take us to the hotel. One night there was a huge drugs raid in a building across from our hotel which was cool. Also on that holiday I got a huge cuddly camel, my photos taken with a donkey which was p!ssing at the time, and found out I was allergic to bananas. Some local also tried to buy me one night while we were having dinner at a restaurant.
So yeah Tunisia is brilliant when you are 4
Not sure what it would be like 20 years on though! |

I've never been there, but am very curious at how it goes. Let us know if it turns out to be good. ----

I picked up this ace book today everyone rates it as a must buy for the budding military genius, tho ive decided to rename it as "Sun Tzu's art of the bloody obvious" |

Had a week in Hammamet with the lads about fifteen years ago.
It was a dump, and the taxi drivers were crazy.

thanks for replies all.
Ive booked it all up, it a 4star all inclusive hotel and I have heard some mixed reports about the place but majority seem good.
Lets just hope so or the missus will chop of my jewels
will let ya know how it went be sure, especially if it is bad which I really hope not.
