CCP has sent a small delegation to the Leigzig Games Convention and want to give any EVE players attending the convention a chance to drop by the CCP booth and say, "Hi!"
CCP is showcasing the Cold War Edition content update as well as strutting our stuff with the new Unicode and New Player Experience features. Swag will also be available for some lucky visitors.

You Euros need to learn what distance is. My state alone is bigger than Germany, and I've driven across it in a few hours. Don't be afraid to drive a few hundred kilometers, it can be worth it. Plus you guys have the autobahn, so it'll take even less time.

We Germans have to pay around 1,25Ç per litre gasoline  That makes you think twice where you want to travel  If it was just the distance, I would'nt have a problem with that.
But nontheless I'm considering to come to Leipzig

yay see u all in Leipzig and yes gasoline prices are really a pain in europe, but it would cost me like 60Ç to go by train and i just live like 80km away

CCP actually has 2 people at GenCon Reynir (Creative Director) and PÚtur (EVE:TCG creator).
The dev names for those at Leipzig are Coroner, TomB and Traveler

I was at the GC today and it was incredibly crowded. There where people everywhere(you couldn't do a single step without having someone infront, behind and on your side). Had to search a bit before I found the Eve Booth, for those that haven't been there yet and still want to go tomorrow, the Eve Booth is part of the large Scifi booth in Hall 4. They where giving away CDs with the client and a 14 day trial and from what I could see in the short time that I was there, the game created quite some interest. They had 2 Big TV Screens that showed gameplay(2 PCs where logged into sissi and where showing off some action and Shipmodels). When I was there one was flying a Minmatar Ceptor, the other one flew a Jovian Ship and used the look at feature to show other Shipmodels, like the Galente Dread, while 2 other large Monitors where running a Video(I think it was the Comercial that is running on the UK Scifi channel).

ok i've been there today and saw the poor TomB and the other fellows who had to watch and hear 4 days the crap from the "GIGA"-stage. and had a short nice rl chatter. i really can feel with you and hopefully some new folks will join this great game soon.
but one thing i missed at all boxes and games: a description. they all showed some nice trailer and and most games could be played for a few but u can't get an overview of a game this way in may eyes. how about a board where all the pro's are listed? like "biggest persistent online world", "free expansions", "player driven economy" and so on. i think that would have helped a lot. and maybe some litte sheets to hand out together with the trial CD what this game is about.
can we get a feedback from CCP about the GC? what they think about it and and if they will come back next year and so on... and i bet you can track how many try EVE via the trial keys can we get some numbers later on?

The 2 nice Woman handed out the EVE-Test-Versions, very good impression
People, people everywhere, and the GIGA-Show 10 meters beside was terrible, excpacially when there was the karaoke-show  only terrible
I have met many eve-players, and there were many many people who were interested in this game. i hope the trailer you showed there will be able to download soon
and yes, next time you shout put a description of the game on the trial-version-cd, like in pdf-format, like a litte handbook.
it was able for me to fly the jove-bs, for the first time and maybe the last time
photos where made enough, i hope they are coming soon to have a look at.
ALL in one, it was a great job of all the volunteers and people who made this possible, gratz again!

I know CCP will have a booth at the GC 2006, but I'm curious if there will be some Devs or GMs around presenting some new stuff and maybe open for a bit chitchat?  Didn't find a announcements about GC 2006 yet so I highly doubt it, but would be nice to know.

there's one each year iirc, the "HCC dagen" .. basically all about computers there, but there -is- a games section.. not sure on how it's dealt with there, since I haven't been there in a while.. if CCP shows up there, I'll probably be there as well :D
