I am a Furry.
I am a Tiger Keidran to be specific (Google TwoKinds).
I want Ears, Tails, collars, claw gauntlets, and clawed furfoot boots in the Noble Exchange to burn my Aurum on.
I am also a DUST bunny.
So in DUST, I want the same things, but to attach to my armor.
Maybe not as austentatious as the EVE versions but, I want to at least attach my tiger tail to my Scout Armor and have "cat ear" spikes (think Batman cowl) on my helmet. And maybe even dog collar spikes around my neck plating.

Yes, this thread is completely serious. With the push for WiS, and CCP implementing it, I feel it would be only a natural progression for counter-cultural fashion statements to pop up. The current 4 races gaff is boring.
I am NOT proposing we let the Furry community have at it and turn this into Second Life 2.0... *shudders*
What I am proposing are simply, cybernetic-ally link-able pieces of clothing, that are of the Furry Fandom persuasion.
What we DO NOT need is a new genetically altered race of fuzzy faced geek freaks. The furs took over Second Life because you could literally go into the kernel programming and change the way something acted, sounded, or looked however you liked.
NOT what I am proposing. This is a game about humans in the distant future; whose races were trapped in a distant galaxy they could barely survive in; who now thrive on self-sufficiency.
All I AM proposing, are purchasable clothing articles that I can put on my character to make him more like who I really am.
Heck, My Fiance' and I wear a collar and a tail just walking around the city I live in all the time.
The same should hold true for this game. The current culture in EVE is boring and stale.
We need more color, more flair, more lively...

Nerd counter-cultures like the Furry Fandom thrive in the science fiction world.
Heck, Nerd counter-culture is specifically WHY video games and Sci-Fi exist.
It would just be a piece of clothing that you put on your character. You can take them off and put them on whenever you like...

This is EVE, and in the lore of eve, we have humans of different kinds...Not furries and when I click the bio of another player only to be greeted by a face full of pink fur.....Well that ruins my immersion. |

Aaaahh, but you are missing the point dear.
Some people are in fact, not human at all in their own minds. Some folks, being a Furry, is a state of being, rather than just a hobby. (I am not one of them but, hey, I know several.)
The characters would still be humans but, just like our new DUST bunnies (DUST 514 characters), you can't see their faces either. So every time you open one of their profiles, all you see is an armored suit helmet.
And not to mention, it would be an identifying marker for some folks. It would make a statement of who that person really is, more than the blase' boring facades we are currently stuck with. |

no to fur/claws, etc, mainly because it would look ridiculous, and were not animals.
(FYI, as far as focusing on cats, you can add as many cat aprts as you want to a human, as long as they lack fur/claws/muzzle, they ARENT considered a furry by internet rule 70-a) |

I support your idea. Also, we need monocles back.
I want Incarna as well, to have a big room because I need a lot of containers to store my frozen corpses and they deserve having their own place with their name so I can enter the room, show it to my visitors and talk to the corpses. It is a mess having the corpses rotting in the inventory. They are humans for god's sake. They deserve something better.
And I can't wait until i have some of this furries in my collection. My dog has also its needs. |
