-1 Current skin is much better. Fits the navy theme.

I don't see how the current jungle camo is fitting of a navy at all. Besides, if you read the description it's a police ship, adopted for navy and capsuleer use.

It not really camouflage as its not really intended to blend into the environment, for that you need a cloaking device. Better to think of it as warpaint, designed to tell you this is some kind of military vessel. Yes if you read the description it says "police ship", however the ship called "Federation Navy Comet". The only one available to fly in game is the Navy version.

After seeing a lot of positive feedback across many different forms of EVE discussion media, I would like to formerly propose that the Federation Navy Comet be reverted to it's previous skin.

There are many favorable responses to this idea across the EVE Forums, Reddit, Twitter, and other EVE media outlets. While I have seen and could document countless cases of people being in favor of this change, I have yet to see anybody who prefers the current skin to the previous one.

If the previous skin does not hold up with current V3 skins, an updated V3 version (complete with flashinglight!) would be a very acceptable alternative.

I am posting this in hopes of drawing attention to a central location so that all in favor of restoring the Comet to it's former glory can show their support here, where our cries can be heard. With the changes to faction frigates due this summer, now seems to be the best time for this change.

I would rather see the Police skins made available for purchase on more than just the Comet. Just think about it...

White paint Police Megathron with flashing red and blue police lights on the forward bows?

Why would you pick something so dull, out-of-place and outright silly for your "war paint" though? Far better to pick something distinctive and striking, something that stands out, like, say, a big white stripe down the side!

Hell, if things like this were available from, I don't know, an NPC as an ISK sink, I'd pay.

I'm throwing my support for this as well. I can't stand looking at Navy Comets now (which partially the reason I haven't bought a new one)


I would also like to make two addendums to the OP:

1. change the Navy Megathron's color scheme back into what it once was (similar to the Navy Comet's).
2. Change the Navy Vexor's color scheme into something similar (seriously, there are too many camouflage schemes in the game... I HATE camouflage).

Camo in space.... all the navy factions could use a new paint scheme, camo is so dull and makes no sense. Checking out the line up of catalyst skins and you get an idea of how a paint job can really make a model stand out.
