Hello everyone,
I began trading 4 months ago and am now looking to expand my working capital to generate more profits by expanding my current trading operations and by beginning a manufacturing operation.
Chapter 1 - Background of ideas and current business
What I'm currently doing is mostly station trading in Jita although I have recently started to work in other trade hubs aswell to diversify my assets.
The general idea for this IPO is to expand my current trading operation and to begin a manufacturing program with BPOs that have a steady profit margin and therefore will generate reliable returns.
Chapter 2 - The Business Plan
The goal is to gather 10b isk. Most of it will be invested into low risk items&production with stable price in jita.Some of those items include:
-Modules t1 and t2
-Misc items
-Components
-Ships
Why 10? I've managed to acrue a NAV of 17b over my last 4 months of trading and feel like 10b is an amount that will allow me to signifigantly increase my profits and move into manufacturing in addition to my current trading.
Chapter 3 - Statement of Current Assets
I currently possess 8.7b in escrow for buy orders, 5.5b in sell orders, 1.2b in my wallet and a charon for transporting goods.
Chapter 4 - Full Disclosure of Risks
I could get hit by a bus, or RL life might interfere but this is a risk I'm willing to take.(no i'm not gonna run under bus intentionally). If RL does become to much of a hinderance to play enough to generate a profit all interest will be payed out from my personal funds and all shares refunded.
Chapter 5 - Exit Strategy
I'm not running risky operation unlike many other ipos.
Trading&producing is where I shine so unless someone start manipulating the whole eve market I don't see how I can get into any bad situation.
I can exit at anytime any day and still have good profit made.I'll buy back the shares at 100 % any time if anything goes wrong.
Chapter 6 - Goal, IPO Phases, Dividends,Personal info
Goal:gather 10b liquid isk as soon as that is done the ipo is launched.
Total Number of Shares:100
Total Number of Available Shares:100
Price per share: 100m
Dividend payout: monthly
I will pay:7% a month.
Total months this IPO will run: 3
Total share Buyback Payment: 100% of starting invenstment.
Transfer cash to character: Loromos Mosage

These Loan/Bond threads are getting more and more like Jita local contracts. I don't know why I even bother reading them anymore. To bad for the legit ones out there. I do feel like coming to MD for a loan is something of the past.
The relative small sums people are ready to scam for are usually easier to grind together yourself than trying to pass through MD as a starter bond.
Instead you get people thinking we gonna throw 10's of billions in there direction without any security or at least some reputation on the line.
Or maybe I am just getting jaded :-( |

Being a newbie myself, I'd be more open-minded to shelling out some cash I could afford to lose to seemingly-needy colleagues. However, as Lux Imperator puts it :

As a status update after extensive conversations with potential investors in game 15 shares have been sold too two investors and the decision has been made to provide full API keys to all investors. This leave 85 shares available for purchase.
As for the claims calling into question my trustworthiness I am but a simple trader looking to generate additional profits in addition to my standard operation. The reason this thread was posted on a new toon was to mentally separate it from my main trading operations and to centralize the administration of the IPO. I will admit that I would prefer to conceal the identity of my main character as he is a member of one of the "less well received" alliances in the eve community.

In-game investors you say? Pics or it didn't happen.
Also honesty is the best policy in these situations. You're much more likely to get a positive reaction if you hold your hands up and admit a slightly shady background and offer investors some additional assurities rather than trying to cover it up. No random alt, no matter how awesome his hair is, ever made much headway in this forum without some hefty 3rd party backing.

And by pics I mean API. And by API I mean details regarding the operations ( ongoing or planned ) and the previous characters that hold the NAV and manufacturing.
Ah, and please provide the names of those investors that pledged in-game. I doubt they want to remain anonymous.
Otherwise is just your ( un-proven ) word on a subforum of a MMORPG and that doesn't count for much imho. |

This experiment has run its course and now I will deliver a final report,
As most of you correctly guessed this was a scam. In total I managed to sell 5 shares (500m). I will omit the name of the person scammed but they may post themself if they feel the need. As per usual this character will be biomassed and erased from the history books and I will move on to other ventures.
Overall MD did a good job of being wary of shaky investments despite a long post and large amounts of jargon so give yourselves all a pat on the back. |

Seriously this is why we get so much bs in this forum. This guy (supposedly - again, pics or it didn't happen) made 500m off the back of three forum posts. That's a much better return on your time than spamming Jita local.
