So While using my noctis on some level 4 missions, the cargo cans really pile up around me, and I was wondering how hard it would be to have a button that loots all the nearby cans/wrecks as if you have gone through each one and clicked the open cargo button..
(as in puts them into a list in your inventory window)
That way you just click that button and boom, all the wrecks and cans within 2500m will be opened, and you just have to click the loot all button a couple times..
Or better yet, combine the previous button with a button that loots all the items in the open wrecks/cans, much like the current "loot all" button works, but one that works for all the open wrecks/cans.
While I'm at it suggesting things to make life easier, what about a Sell all button?
The idea would you that you get a dialog box where you set the minimum % compared to regional average, and all the modules that can be sold above that average are.. the rest are not sold..
Examples
You just finished a mission with 25 wrecks in a single room, each one with something in the wreck (loot wise)
You warp in with the noctis, you tractor and start salvaging everything but leave all the cans that are made alone until your done.
You then click the "Open nearby" and after a few seconds your inventory is filled with a list of 25 containers.
You then click the "Loot all open" button and another few seconds, all those cans dissappear and your ships cargo now holds all of the items that were spread among the cans.
You warp to jita and transfer all the looted items to the station hanger where you click the "Sell All" button and a dialog pops up with a slider and a small input box.
You input the minimul % (say -20%) and hit "Sell All" after another few seconds all the items that had an available buyer for higher than -20% of the regional average were sold.
You warp back to your mission area and continue on your marry way.
Obviously I doubt anybody would jump to Jita just to sell one missions worth of loot, but you get the idea.

don't be so lazy, there is nothing wrong with what there is now.
making things like this quicker and easier means isk income can be increased further and inflation escalates.

I like it. I''m all for any number of quality of life improvements.
You will get alot of flak for it though. We are space gods riding around in advanced spaceships but for some reason telecommunications technology and automation have been lost on our trip into the stars, and it is heresy to suggest we redevelop the tools that made 80's corporate culture possible.

Have you ever tried selling 300+ items in a trade hub? it takes a long time..
I'm not sure how the server handles it, but this might even be easier on the server if you let it sell it all at it's own pace.
I wouldn't mind at all if the items were placed in a buffer type place and sold off as the server could handle it, a couple minutes seems reasonable to wait.. (depending on the number of items obviously) |

Okay, so while we're at this business of "making life easier", why not just go all the way and make it so easy we never have to actually do anything? Just let us have a single button that plays the entire game from start to finish for us. (/sarcasm) |
