Looks like good setup might wanna put a ballistic controls in the low slots or a warp core stabilizer if things go out of control.

And also what locking range would a crusier have with the 3 dampners on it?

Depends on the cruisers, and the pilots skills.

The BB has pretty much disappeared from space. Haven't seen one in the north for a long time, no more luck when raiding the south. Observer error? hard to believe...
If it had a +5% jamming strength like the scorp, instead of it's questionable +20% range bonus to jamming only, it might be worth flying (and only because it's expandable).

I'll give you two setups I've used in the past.
1:
High: 3 Heavy Launchers, (Last slot to personal taste once everything else is fitted)
Medium: 10 MN MWD, 4 Dampeners, Sensor Booster
Low: 2 Cap Power Relays
2:
High: 2 250mm Railguns, 2 Assault Launchers
Medium: 4 Multispecs, Sensor Booster, Cap recharger
Low: 2 Cap Power Relays
Both work pretty well. Their ranges are for medium to short range, with #2 being designed more for short-range work.

Edited by: Marithin on 22/08/2005 07:28:35 If you are gonna use Sensor Dampners then I would suggest trying a celestis as it gets a 5% bonus per level to effectiveness as well as a 5% damage bonus per level to med hybrids. It also has a decent drone bay (8 med drones).
However, a Blackbird setup I've found tht works well in conjunction with other combat vessels: High: 3x heavy missile launchers, 1 med nos Med: 6x Jammers (either Multi's or Racials if you know what you are up against) Lows: 2x signal amps
Oh and Sorja, we do still use Blackbirds up north, I've seen 3 or 4 (not counting my own) being flown in PVP ops in the past few weeks.

About 16km with base targeting range 70km and long range targeting lvl4.

5% to jamming would make me start flying a BB :). However, as it is, the 20% optimal is only 'kinda handy' rather than really very nice.
Especially when you consider that a badger MK II also has 6 mids, an extra low, and costs quite a lot less, and doesn't provoke quite the same 'OMG SCARY SHIP KILL IT' response :).
OK, so less guns, but for fleet stuff...

Edited by: Solomon Majere on 22/08/2005 11:49:33 If you're using a BB to solo PVP, you'll need a webber and a painter in there too. There's no use in flying a ship that's unable to break a tank. You've got a decent defence with ECM, making your opponent a sitting duck, only to see you can't break his tank soon enough.
You Caldari have mid slots in abundance, yet all you think about is fit 6 EW mods. Face it. You'll be facing max 2 enemies in a BB, more would be pretty much suicide. This means you could do with 4, or even 3 ECM mods (chances of the ECM failing on both ships the same cycle are slim).
This gives room for a webber, scrambler and AB or target painter. Lows should be either PDU II to get at least a little tanking going, or dammage mods. This will give you the chance to actually kill something in a few EW cycles, lowering the chance of the ECM backfiring. If you need 10 cycles to pop an enemy, yes then you'll need 6 ECM to cover your six.
Oh, if possible (BB has not that much grid, I know), fit a NOS in that extra hi slot...

Do tech 1 damps and multis do any good anymore?
I remember the day when ew was changed, I attacked some nublar's megathron in my damp raven, put 4x named t1 damps on him, went to 19km's and I ended up in low armor when he died thanks to his -medium- guns --------------------------------------
