I'm running my EVE client on a GeForce4 graphics card, and since the last big patch, I get freezes all the time. I tried it with new graphics drivers (77.72) but did not really get better. Are there any recommendations which nVidia drivers are stbale?

I use 66.93 for my GeForce4. The new ones (7x.xx) are made for the 6 series (6200,6600 and 6800). No use for them with older cards.

Using latest (offical) driver release, and absolutely no crashes/gfx issues.
Stay away from beta drivers though...

I was getting freezing and crashing problems with my Inno3D GeForce4 MX440 AGP 8X 128MB running at 4X AGP mode, using the latest drivers. I tried to pulldown the memory and GPU clock and nothing get better. It was in my Soyo KT600 Dragon Plus v1.0 mobo. So, I bought a XFX GeforceFX 5500 256 MB running in AGP 8X mode, and everything is fine now, running with no overclocks and high-details config. Now the weird things. I put the Inno3D Geforce4 MX440 in another mobo, a PCChips, don't remember now the exact model, running in 8X mode and high details. I played over 6 hours with that machine and everything is fine.
My guess: Geforce4 don't work really good with VIA chipsets mobos. Check this in your machine. Well, worked for me, now I have two comps running Eve really good.

Also worth pointing out that, alas, the latest Detonator drivers won't support the Go???? (portable) chipsets. It's annoying because that used to be a good point that I could use to annoy ATI users -- (Battle hardened miner)

MANY THANKS to TjanitN Tcroxlr for the info about Omega drivers! I had not heard of them until I saw his post. I installed the driver for the nVidia GF 5200, and have been running Eve for over an hour now with no problem. Seems to have fixed a problem that I wasted many hours over the last two weeks trying to solve - wish I had seen his post earlier.

for some reason, the forums are adding myeve.eve-online.com/ in the front of the URL. I promise if you type omegacrivers.net into the address bar and click go, it will work.

The typo gremlin is running rampant. That should read: "I promise if you type omegaDrivers.net..." not "I promise if you type omegaCrivers.net..."
To the gentleman above whose issues weren't resolved by the drivers, I'm sorry. I am fresh out of ideas.
