Well, I'm not a noob to the game, but I just started doing my agent missions (heard eventually you'll get the higher level skills from them) and thought it'd be worth my while to do them till they get put in.
However, I don't know anything about the agent missions except what I did with my first beginning one long long ago.
I hear charisma and the social skill influence agents. How and in what way?
I've been working on my L1 agent for a while now, and he just gave me another L1 agent, except the second L1 agent has a medicore rating whereas the first has an awsome rating. Should I stick with the first till I get another awsome agent or switch over to my new medicore one? What's the difference between the two??
That's all I have at the moment. . .it's time to take out the trash again. _______________________________________________ "But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here." |

Stick to your first...
The awesome agent shud give you a level 2 agent quicker. The average number of missions for a level 2 agent is 40 (altho this does vary up and down).
I aint got a level 3 agent yet but I believe you need to complete around 70 missions with your level 2 to qualify for level 3...

My character has Social 5 and Charisma 15, I got a Level 3 after around 40 missions from a Level 2 "Good" Agent.

Only 15?
Mine is 16 and will hit 19 if I bothered to max the charisma attribute out ;-)

Dont worry Private Idaho - most people think high Charisma is a particularly stupid thing to have...and u shud see how long it takes me to train gunnery skills!

Edited by: Limahong on 25/07/2003 16:45:16 Ha! I have charisma at 6 only and I have tons of level 1, 3 level 2, and 4 level 3. But still no level 4
Anyways, stick to your original agent with awesome quality. The more missions you do for him/her, the higher the chance of him/her giving you a higher level agent. |

that's ok, the lvl 4 agents don't offer missions yet anyway.

Ok, here's a new general agent Q:
What do the ratings on the agent info mean? My agent is +16% Agent, and 4% Standing. What do those %s mean? Also, I noticed on another thread someone with the negotiation skill having another modifier up there. Any other skills that do this? _______________________________________________ "But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. From what i've noticed so far the agent rating is used to calculate what you'll be paid for a mission i.e. varience from the base payment. i.e. if an agent is +12 you'll get 12 perc more.
I suspect that the standing is used in some wierd formula to calculate the chance of getting a new agent. If you notice the more missions you do, the higher this gets, so there's a good chance that's what this is for.

Ok think i am getting this but just incase.
I have done 30 missions for my lvl1 agent - standing +16% with a +5% status.
He jsut gave me a new lvl1 agent - standing +18% with +1% status.
Not much difference. Should I be working on the new guy or sticking with old faithful.
What I am unsure of is, is it number of missions done for all lvl1 agents of that corp or is it approx 40 missions for each agent to give you a new contact?

Hmm, does Charisma and Social work? I was under the impression that they didn't.
