Well it isn't just me. I can also log an alt in.
So basically, when we log off previous night, the last used character is gonna be stuck by the following morning ?
Sooooooooo, we need to leave alts as the last char we use, and make sure our mains are not in use.
Now THAT is LAME.
Until CCP fixes this properly, I vote for a regular reboot. It worked at the weekend, it should work now, and for us Europeans, at least give us a chance to log in in the morning. I suggest a time of about 04:00 eve-time - but of course the USA player base would never accept that ...

I'm having the same problem. I'm seriously considering quitting Eve if the stability of this game does not improve.

My character (which has been having the aforementioned problems) is now able to log in.
Give it another try pilots.
As an aside to developers or members of the ISD: This is happening frequently enough to beg the suggestion that it be addressed to the community. I hope others will agree. In the news updates regarding patches and other issues, this has not been addressed. Please keep us updated regarding problems and estimated solutions and as usual, we'll love you for it. It's a great game CCP.

Same to me...my mainchar can't log in.....meanwhile the altchar has no problems.....
i sent in a petition with my altchar.....
Answer was that they moved my mainchar to a system nearby..
didn't work too.
but there 5398 players online since 2 hours.....no oneleft and noone came in?
strange....

Works again for me. I guess someone is on it.
Edit: I can get in, but I cannot change my skill 
Edit again: hahaha, after quitting and relogging, I cannot get past Entering Station again. ffs

OK, so all of us have the same problem.
I am new to EVE, just a month or so, but I like the game, the people and all!!! Great! But still ... I am trying to enter, get to station and then - NOTHING! If this is for an hour or 2 np, but the problem is not from now. I have made an alternative char just to try to enter and there was np, so apparently the DB which stored my SAVE the last time was down? So what to expect next team?

Oh and I have tried the "use an alt - retry main char" with no success on any account. Grats to those it fixes, to the rest, you are not alone.

I can't login occasionally with my main char. My petition-maker char can login though. As if a petition would be good for something...............it has been unanswered since days.
A game where I can't login is a game I can't play...

that is true, many mmo's have had stability issues during their time.. but not being able to login is a game killer... sure you may say "just wait it out", but its been ****ed for a significant amount of time now...

Stuck in Frerstorn not being able to log in, filed petition saying "DON'T MOVE ME -Making BPC's", exit game only to try again 10 minutes later and see that I've been moved to Eszur... Oh ^*^ $#%&#% joy. Thanks.

I can log in with fresh alt to ammold, but can' log in either of my accounts main characters.
Fresh approach... Fix all the bugs before releasing the patch.
Emergency Reboot. T-minus 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

OK server flatline just hit 2 hours.
2 hours. That's even longer than I have to wait for a bus ffs. And I live in nowheresville.
I could have watched a football match (not including a European tie involving Liverpool), travelled 10 miles around Birmingham (England), decorated the bedroom, played 9 holes of golf ......
Ho hum.

I would like to know why i cant log in to the server at this time and have to wait till downtime to try an login. I can login on my uncles account but i cant log on mine it says entering station and it looks like it will work then it says character selection failed. WHY is this. If i cant play i would like some kind of answer.
Lets see how long it take for CCP to respond. PLEASE FIX ASAP.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

woot the bar moved to 75% should be playing in about 2 hours with any luck.
My alts can log in just fine but hauler alt and spy alt are boring i want my main. :(

I had a quick log in....ISP dropped tried to get back in and it just says entering game..... Had a skill to change 3 hours ago...oh well.

Well same here alt works but main char hangs on login.
Even petition does not work on main.

What the hell is with this. Every freakin day we seem to have this problem of late. Dont get me wrong I love the game...but this is getting beyond the joke. Several of my mates are all having second thoughts about keeping their subs up because of the bugs and issues since Cold War. However in the last two weeks is has become a joke.
FIX THE DAMN GAME.
People can handle the small bugs ok but when you cannot log in people really become irked.

Signed; can't login and stuck at 'Entering game as XXX', with two accounts' mains. Seems to be possible to log on using some random alt (not much help for skill change..)
Update: petition response seems to be standard "having problems..working on it right now...can't help stuck chars". Thus would conclude no need to make stuck petitions for now..
