Also the eve-i site server chart seems to have flat-lined. Suggests the cluster is broken.

I was in game and all sorts of things started going wrong. First, you couldn't get info about other players. Then some of the chat channels stopped working. Then assets wasn't updating. Finally it just cracthed. Now I can't get back in. Looks like it is in bad shape.

what gets me really angry most of all, is all the bugs currently in eve and then the devs post this:

Actually, if you read the post properly, u'd realise it says "yeah, ok, we're fixing the bugs, but we're concentrating on the KALI release"... which, considering how bad eve is right now, is a real poke in the eye.

maybe, but if you look back in the forums, theres 2 or 3 major bugs which need fixing, and have needed fixing since the cold war update...
so far for the last 5-6 days i've sat in the help channel watching people continuously compain about not being able to login in, we've had numerous non-scheduled reboots, etc etc...
that should be a priority, not KALI, KALI is no small thing, and if we're lucky i reckon the earliest we'll see it is next year...

Well it isn't just me. I can also log an alt in.
So basically, when we log off previous night, the last used character is gonna be stuck by the following morning ?
Sooooooooo, we need to leave alts as the last char we use, and make sure our mains are not in use.
Now THAT is LAME.
Until CCP fixes this properly, I vote for a regular reboot. It worked at the weekend, it should work now, and for us Europeans, at least give us a chance to log in in the morning. I suggest a time of about 04:00 eve-time - but of course the USA player base would never accept that ...

My character (which has been having the aforementioned problems) is now able to log in.
Give it another try pilots.
As an aside to developers or members of the ISD: This is happening frequently enough to beg the suggestion that it be addressed to the community. I hope others will agree. In the news updates regarding patches and other issues, this has not been addressed. Please keep us updated regarding problems and estimated solutions and as usual, we'll love you for it. It's a great game CCP.

i sent in a petition with my altchar.....
Answer was that they moved my mainchar to a system nearby..
didn't work too.
but there 5398 players online since 2 hours.....no oneleft and noone came in?

OK, so all of us have the same problem.
I am new to EVE, just a month or so, but I like the game, the people and all!!! Great! But still ... I am trying to enter, get to station and then - NOTHING! If this is for an hour or 2 np, but the problem is not from now. I have made an alternative char just to try to enter and there was np, so apparently the DB which stored my SAVE the last time was down? So what to expect next team?

that is true, many mmo's have had stability issues during their time.. but not being able to login is a game killer... sure you may say "just wait it out", but its been ****ed for a significant amount of time now...

I could have watched a football match (not including a European tie involving Liverpool), travelled 10 miles around Birmingham (England), decorated the bedroom, played 9 holes of golf ......

I would like to know why i cant log in to the server at this time and have to wait till downtime to try an login. I can login on my uncles account but i cant log on mine it says entering station and it looks like it will work then it says character selection failed. WHY is this. If i cant play i would like some kind of answer.

What the hell is with this. Every freakin day we seem to have this problem of late. Dont get me wrong I love the game...but this is getting beyond the joke. Several of my mates are all having second thoughts about keeping their subs up because of the bugs and issues since Cold War. However in the last two weeks is has become a joke.
FIX THE DAMN GAME.
People can handle the small bugs ok but when you cannot log in people really become irked.

Signed; can't login and stuck at 'Entering game as XXX', with two accounts' mains. Seems to be possible to log on using some random alt (not much help for skill change..)
Update: petition response seems to be standard "having problems..working on it right now...can't help stuck chars". Thus would conclude no need to make stuck petitions for now..

This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm on a trial account and I was considering switching from another MMO or adding this MMO as I was enjoying it so much. But the last 4 days straight of the same issue has me with some second thoughts. Over TWO HOURS that the server is not allowing people to login with their main accounts. Why CCP has not fixed this yet is beyond me. It probably wouldn't be so bad if they told us they knew something was wrong and they were working on it. A simple post on the website with, "Guys we're really sorry one of the databases got really hosed last night for an as yet undetermined reason. We're working on fixing it now but it is taking some time. Again we are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and will post updates as we continue working on the issue." Just having some information would make me feel a little better personally since I would know that they are working on the problem. But the most they seem to post about is the latest and the greatest with the upcoming patch.

I've only played for about three weeks and if this is the quality of service I get for my money I can just as well change to WoW.
I also started to have some problems few hours ago and thought I'd log out and try again after some time.. Now I cant even log in. I'm stuck in the "Entering Station bar"..
I thought that DT every day would make the server stable during the rest 23hour a day but I was wrong..

Yep, same problem again. Did anyone notice if CCP did annouce the
last times problem or they just rebooted/fixed the problem without
saying anything about it ? One time - sure, 2 times thats just 1 time to many...atleast its morning in Iceland so they got plenty
of time to fix it.. NOW!
About the patch, its good they are working on the bugs but dont
announce the patch date until its 100% tested, dident CCP announce
they had a department for this kind of stuff... o well...
If the Devs could let us know WHAT to test on the devserver for each
new test patch then i dident mind ot spend time there to try stuff
out to help them...

Hey CCP....releasing software/patches BEFORE the bugs have been fixed is Microsoft's area of expertise. Differance is, I dont pay them monthly to use Windows.

Personally, i can live with the bugs... but it certainly would have been nice of ccp to reboot about an hour ago...
having been on the other side of the fence tho, writing non-buggy software is almost impossible.. specially on something this complex...
one thing you should all consider tho, come join in the testing, i've yet to see more than 20 ppl loggin into singularity at a time, which is kinda pathetic when you consider the size of the comunity eve actually has. the busiest time for singularity seems to be the downtime for tranquility, which is a bit dis-heartening. After all, it is something we really can help with! You dont even have to join the fight club if you dont want, go find a belt and mine, or build a pos, or kill your friends with impunity, become a pirate, attack concord, attack a station... in short, do all those things you want to do in eve to figure out how they work/if they are possible but cant because of fear at losing something valuable, theres nothing to loose on the test system... and lastly, you see a bug, you log it!
haivng said all that, i do believe ccp should be much faster at rectifiying the issue (not fixing the bug, rebooting the servers) then they have been. They know reboot's fix the issue... i can live with reboots, but not being able to login to the game is an exceptionally bad problem.

All my chars in our corp are stuck, my alts in the noob corp can log in. It seems that something has gone wrong with the corp - and gm aren't a help. They tried to move the char, ignoring the description which was related to the corp, but no success.
4 stuck chars in 3 different regions, nice record CCP....

It's awesome that Oveur finally acknowledged the unscheduled early morning downtimes in the game's news briefing. It was short and did not carry CCP's trademark detail usually afforded to the community; however, it was an acknowledgement and seemed to hint toward an included fix in the upcoming patch. As a subscriber I just wanted to say thanks!

I think I'll keep my sub as one month cycle. Let's see if you (CCP) get these issues fixed by the end of the year..
It would be really too bad if I would have to quit because of these technical problems.. This game has taken my heart in just a few weeks and there is some much in it that I like.
I hope that CCP understands that if they dont get these issues fixed they will probably start losing subs in increasing amounts...

IMO (showing my age) Eve is the game "Elite" signposted. Eve was inevitable (for all those readers of "The Evitable Conflict"). So it is here. It is not perfect. But it is DAMN close. In 2 years EnB, EQ2 and WoW have come and have gone, or (thru imbalance in char types) futtered unconfortably alongside, but the gem that is Eve continues to sparkle.

WORKAROUND:
I simply deleted the whole EVE folder. Cache alone was not enough!
Then I copied a backup of EVE over it. It works for a while, after I switched off and on again the computer EVE stopped working again.
Solution: Raze the EVE-Installation, copy the Backup, start EVE, works...
... makes no sense, but works.
