Ly'sol	Posted - 2005.08.31 05:30:00 - [1] Saw some wierd clouds outside this morning. They were forming in a checker board pattern and they all had right angles. Im not freaking out, im trained in metorology and Ive spent four years at see practicing it. And I have never seen clouds like that. Its un-natural. Did some scouring about the net today trying to sift through conspiracy theories to find some legit information. Everything looked like it was all bunk. Then my attention was drawn to http://www.weatherwars.info/index.html. The guy has some freaking wierd video, one of a vortex that i have never seen before in my time observing weather...here is a quick link to it. No offense, but I doubt you would have ever seen a cloud pattern like that if you were at sea. What you described sounds like a mountain wave. It is pretty much the result of air flow over the tops that make little rolls. I think a checkerboard pattern happens too from time to time. And just because a conspiracy theory website looks professional, doesn't mean it is legit. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity.

A significant portion of the apparent strange looking formations in clouds have already been explained logically, with the aid of the terrain that the air is flowing over. Most of the rest can be clearly defined as Contrails, or the remanants of them at least. Streamers of cloud you can see behind a passenger liner or something similar, flying in clear, cold, and humid air. It forms when the water vapor created by the combustion of fuel in the airplane engines condenses. When the ambient humidity of the air around the plane is high, the resulting ice-crystal plume that trails behind it can last for a few hours. it can get distorted, and sometimes it spreads outwards, kind of flat to form a layer of cirrus cloud. This can form the grid like patterns you've seen in some of the photos if the air stays very humid, and the various areas of cirrus cloud are allowed to form. it happens as well with swept wing aircraft. these produce wing tip vortices caused by the sliding stream of compressed at the tip of each wing. That air expands and cools off generating a thin layer of ice particles. these only appear as the thin lines that come off the ends of the wings, but can contribute to these types of formations as well. It's not uncommon to see stuff like this, i live right on the east coast of england, about 60 miles south east of Newcastle International Airport, when it's hot in the summer, as a result the planes are at their defined altitude for cruising, and the air is very humid from a lot of surface evaporation from the north sea, it's a pretty common thing to see this over the area that i live in. No explination for that wierd vortex thingy in the vid though... that's just wierd SniggleVision

You will see some odd things like Jeanne doing a clockwise 360 degree turn (Hurricanes spin counter-cloakwise). Frances and Jeanne landing thier Eyes within one mile of each other. Frances, Jeanne, and Charlie seemed to cross dead center of Florida. Hehe almost as if your sighting a weapon and using Florida as target practice. The one that freaks me out is how Tropical Depression Ivan does a 180 and doubles back on itself. WTF?! Finally look at Tropical Storm Lisa, how jagged its path is off africa, it seems to as well to travel north then south. Keep in mind the scale of these course corrections because each box is a 300 X 300 nm roughly. Still dont believe me and that this is natural. Lets look at 2003 and 2002 and 2001 I could go back several years and you will not see the unusual patterns you see in 2004. So maybe it wasnt our own goverment hitting us...I stayed up late last night and I noticed on one of the doppler radar images that there was a burst of dry air that came in across texas that down graded the storm. Goverments black book weather control trying to down grade it to defend the country? Who knows. Meteorologist are still stumped why Katrina downgraded so fast and why it was pushed to the east. Think of it as a weapon that several times more destructive than a nuke and....Who would believe an act of god was a strategic strike. Perfect weapon....you can attack without retailiation.
