I am still debating which BS to go for. I will be using it for NPCing and PVPing. I have so far solely so far concentrated on gallante, but tring to decide if it is worth carrying on for a mega, or to train for somthing like an apoc or geddon. I dont really fancy missiles, so not too fussed about caldari. Let me know what ppl think pls. I wanna make it the best BS, wanna train for tech 2 guns also.

use an tempest/it can tank very well.it can snipe.and it can be a good dmg dealer in close range combat

There is no best Battleship.
In PVP, each battleship has the chance of beating another races battleship through fitting.
It sounds like your well set up for Gallente so i would stick with it. The Domi is the most unpredictable ship in the game, thanks to its slot fitting, and the Megathron does respectable damage.

Domi is an excellent NPCer (with good drone skills) and is a very versatile PvP battleship especially in small encounters.
The mega is an excellent fleet PvP battleship with Tech2 425mm railguns and good skills.
Stick with what you are doing :)

Best all around BS is the Dominix, hands down.
PvP;
Probably best close range ship.
Def OK for medium range battle.
NPC;
Can handle all NPC races just fine.
Mining;
Very good for that too.
Drink up, shoot in. Let the beating begin.

There is no "best". Each is best used in its role.
If you like close range, use mega or tempest
If you like sniping, use mega or tempest or apoc
If you like drones, use domi
If you like ganking, use geddon
If you like tanking, use apoc
If you like to surprise people, use domi or typhoon
etc...

If you like ganking, use geddon or 7 dmg mod blasterthron 
If you like tanking, use apoc , raven, scorp, domi, phoon

There is no best Battle Ship but Gallante are well represented.
Mega is good by Tier II standards and can hold it own against any other Tier II.
Domi is the most versatille Battle Ship in eVe.

True.
But on the other hand, as gallente he can use a megathron for long range battles.
Although, filling up a Domi's lows with power diags, then you can fit long range weapons and have 5 meds avilable for either shield tank/EW/sensor boosters+tracking comps. That won't deal a very high damage, but isn't totally useless.

big question is if you intend to use it for level4 agent missions.
If you do, then apoc is streets ahead.
If not, then the field is open.

Pffffffffft. You saying that an apoc can do lvl 4 Gurista missions faster than hybrid fitted ships?

Look at the bright side  they used to be super. Also you can always fly a scorpion as support for your friends :)

Scorpions are not bad at PvE/PvP.
They're not _tied_ into missile launchers.
They're restricted in the fact that they've only 6 high slots, and a 4/4 turret missile mix, but 8 mids and an EW bonus is a powerful equaliser, especially when NPCs can be jammed.
