Can you please fill me with any "disclosable" info regarding the Great Wildlands? As in who usualy dwells there, view towards neutrals, who's invanding regularly, how pirate infested is, who wants to claim it, etc. Not really interested in who had the most kills down there and what fleet delivered the most wtfpwnage to another fleet, just facts and unbiased as possible. Thank you

Veritas are in full control of Great Wildlands.
There's a little Foundation scum here and there but nothing major (ie. never more than 1-2 ships).
The pirate alliance...err sorry the minmatar alliance U'K or something sided with Foundation just before they fell so you should prolly count U'K as hostile to -V-, but I'm not sure - convo Light Darkness or Headhunter II when one of them are online, they are the "leaders" of Great Wildlands.
Now back to building ships

The 2 really have nothing in common. Anti-pirate does not mean open-house for everyone, nor does it mean visitors welcome. I'm sure if you have a reason to be in their space, they could work out something with you.

piaring does not exist in 0.0.. Anyone who isnt in V alliance or is not a friend of V alliance should be considered trespassers.

Just like the respected SA's borders when they used alts in neutral corps to provoke hostile actions from SA gangs?

HED wasn't SA space. SA provoked the hostilitys cause they shot us (we were blue to them and I don't mean our alts) in unclaimed space (HED-GP). The Stain leaders told us to "**** off" and we declared war on them.
I can't believe this myth of ebil Celes thretening little SA is still around after about 1 year.
Anyway, I don't know what SA and Celes have to do with the GW.

We are controlling whats ours and will do what needs to be done. If your not V or not a friend then you dont need to be there.

Sorry, how can V be anything other than Pirates..?
You fly into Foundation space, you kill thier ships and eventually thier unoffical Alliance, you form NAP's with <5> corps and Tyrants ( ) and eventually claim GW as your own.

Ah, so you basicly saying that all alliances who have war with another alliance are pirats. So if an alliance then wins a war and settle the space they fought for, declaring it as their home, they are evil rats? Man, get a clue. Those 2 things have nothing in common. Whatever "pirating" happens in eve happens in low sec. In 0.0 there's no piracy. I can't believe this kind of conversation take place here and now.
Fact is however, it is stupid for V to even mention "anti-piracy" as their some kind of stance. If you really have to, say "no shooting neutrals in .4-.1" but then again, why not??? ---------- Richard Simmons in Space |

Well by your logic they are indeed anti-pirates. I'll explain why.
After the collapse of CA there was a new alliance created in GW named Keiretsu. They claimed the area ceeded by Curse Alliance and as the alliance was pure ex-CA there was no fighting for the space.
Then a bunch of pirates calling themselves Foundation turns up and attacks Keiretsu.
Fast-forward - Veritas attacked Foundation (Pirates) because Veritas are anti-pirates.
Logic at it's best.

Yea - Foundation was loosing but then they recruited MLM and props to MLM for fighting back hard and long (damn long). Anyway, after about a month of constant fighting there was really only a few corps in Keiretsu who kept fighting - all others were more or less gone. M. Corp, CoreTech, Quasar Technologies and Daikatana were the most active in both numbers and kills and were for a long time the driving force behind Keiretsu.
In the end we were only two of those corps standing and as such it was an impossible task. Instead of sticking around and just making both sides miserably we decided to pick up roots (in CoreTech) and seek new challanges.
To this day I'm still sad that Keiretsu lost. We had the visions, the people and the knowlegde to become sometihng great but unfortunaly it was not to be.

I'll concur with that Drilla. The Keiretsu was started By Drilla, Jabaa Prime and myself. We started strongly and kept to the ideals that we started with. The alliance was to be very military orientated in order to secure the region before we would dare to take advantage of the wealth on offer in GW. Unfortunately for us Foundation arrived with a set of alien concepts to us... namely to simply grow fat in U3K while not maintaining any meaningful sort of military presence. As I said, Keiretsu started strong but it was not long before Foundation recruited some very heavyweight corps in the US time zone where we were particularly weak... from that moment we began to feel the pinch. Keiretsu leaders were under great pressure with no obvious get out strategy but to sacrifice our principles. We would not do that and so left. What was left of Keiretsu was eventually forced to bow before Foundation much to the chagrin of M.Corp and the like-minded corps that founded K. That brought M.Corp and others to where it is today, stopping at nothing to 'get the boot in' wherever we can. |
