Sorry but I find it pretty messed up when a guy plays a girl character. Creepy and just weird. Like they lack interaction with women so bad that they resort to simulating it in their minds with EVE characters or something.

Guys thinking that they have a chance to get with some girl they only just met while playing a computer game? That is weird.

And I guess the thunderboobs never get boring either eh?



It's more of a sliding scale where on one side you have respect but responsibility and on the other side you have freedom but no confidence.

Females are less threatening to the alpha males which affords them more breathing room. Some mistake this for an advantage but females are also treated as less stable and less reliable.

As a woman the advantages are very short term. The extra breathing room you are afforded is useful when you're new to a community but you are seen as naturally less stable and capable than men so there's a tendency for the men to coddle and protect you which makes it harder to grow and advance in a community so you have to work extra hard to earn the true respect.


At the same time the ever present hunt for the true females and the witch hunt for the "fake" ones endanger your gender identity further because showing any sort of personal fortitude, strength or independence will have people pounce on you and accuse you of being male. On top of that you can't really counter that by throwing your sex around at every corner because then you undermine your position further by looking like you want to draw attention to the fact that you are a woman when all you really want people to notice is what you're capable of.


So as a woman you're left to choose between being a giggling, smiley spamming moron. Having a posse of drooling idiots follow you around, making sexual innuendos at every turn.

or throwing away your gender identity and turning into Hillary Clinton in hopes of a chance to earn some respect based on your own merits and capabilities.


If there's some sort of middleground then I have yet to find it but it depends mainly on the people around you.

My main is male. I would feel a little weird if corpmates called me by a girl name.

I might also add, I have quite a few female characters, none as amply endowed as Fleur. I had a great time with the character creator, and there was no doubt I wanted to push it to its limits in certain areas. On the other hand, I have buddies in real life not unlike this shape, and damned tootin, they love the way they look, and if you dis them for it, you ought to be prepared for the consequences.

So why did you pick a female character?

While there are a number of male players that have created some awesome avatars for either gender there are also many male players that don't seem to care and are happy with the random button which can result in some truly bizarre looking results. These same players are probably the ones who just slide the breast size to the max without a second thought. Most of the female players (the above posts included) seem to spend more time in the character design process, and rarely will I see a character that feels randomly thrown together or awkward.

Because changing your hairstyle or not shaving is on a slightly different level to "I think I'll chop off my tackle and get some silicone implants!"

When you can hop bodies at a whim? Gender, height, skin tone, etc., to a capsuleer could be about as much of a deal as what coloured jacket to wear tha4t day.
