The game is a mind blow. Seriously, it was all coherent yet confusing at the same time, until the ending where you get an epiphany and go from complete confusion to complete understanding. It was a very well crafted game. Too bad it was taken down by the shooting. The game had too many shooting sections while its strongest points are the story ones. Lolwut: "Yes, you kids don't know how lucky you have it. These days noobs get given free tackle ships for PvP but back in the old days the only tackle ships we were given were our pods. We had to use them to bump their rookie ships out of alignment to stop them warping off." |

But not for being a yankee. Forgivness for that requires that you have to priase their barbeque and declare eternal hatred on any other form of barbeque. Which means you've become one with the eternal struggle - Dry rub vs. wet, vinegar vs. molassas, pit vs. smoked, pig vs. beef. vs. mutton...
When those distinctions mean something to you, and the differences bewteen them causes your blood to boil, you've beecome a transplant, and can be forgiven being a yankee (though none will ever forget your origins!). Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

Unoriginal Story? Check! Bad Graphics? Check! Gimmicky use of DX11? Check!
This game has it all folks! Texture resolution so low you can't tell what you're looking at! Animations that are obviously stolen from a Second Life Free Anim Kit. Poor level design that makes it extremely impractical to do optional side quests.

What part of "Rail Shooter" do you not understand?
It's so obvious in this game that you actually use RAILS to get around cells!

It's so obvious in this game that you actually use RAILS to get around cells! So a railshooter with a good storyline is a bad thing? I knew the story was going to be static when i got it (some reviewers actually told us of it). I got it because i liked the Bioshock stories. The RPG element was not needed for me but the story was. To that point Irrational Games did not disappoint.
If you have an issue with rail shooters then why not play something else? Hell even in the first two Bioshocks you always ended up at the final boss no matter what you chose to do in fact all games with a story do. The difference in the outcomes were so insignificant in the second one that it actually bugged me a tad.
Excluding the original, if you want an FPS that isn't a rail shooter then... well other than Mass Effect none come to mind. Any suggestions? I'll honestly see if i have the cash to buy it.
Look at the game from a perspective of one who has not played the original.
I'm surprised you didn't throw a generic it's like CoD but with shooting fire and lightning comment out there..
If the only reason you don't like Infinite is because of it being a rail shooter FPS built for a very aged console generation then i have nothing else to say. Unless you have other reasons to hate it. Bought the PC version i'm assuming as you posted about DX11 and bad graphics.
You're arguing with a gamer who uses an old Dell XPS 400 with an old Nvidia GeForce GT 9800. I don't play a game for the graphics i play the game for all of it's other elements including the storyline and well paced gameplay which both delivered. It's also nice when there's a set number of enemies instead of the CoD hordemode kill all and move foward cliche BULLSHIT that many FPSs contain now "I swear there are more people complaining over "nullsecers complaining" then actual nullsec people complaining." |
