How do people do different complexes? I've been looking all over for this information, but I can't find it. There's information about where the complexes are, but not on tactics or ship setups, etc.
I know some people are doing 10/10 complexes, but how do they do them? Do they go in with all sniper ships? Do they fit remote shield or armor repairers? Do they somehow snipe these monsters or do they do it close range?
This forum doesn't even seem to be the right area for this dicussion since complexes aren't really missions, unless it's a mission spawned complex. However, this forum seems to be the only one that comes close to being a good area for this question.
I imagine some people don't want to share their information too. I'm just hoping there's some out there that do.
So just how do people do these complexes?

Two ways to deal with any spawn that does more damage than any 1 ship can tank.
Have dedicated remote repairers.
Or snipe far out of their optimal.
It seems that the limit for complexes without remote repairing is 6/10 or so... Okay, sure you could take a zealot of a sac and double up the hardeners of the damage the npcs are doing... I bet 90% resistances negate the need for remote repairing.

Well I found that in a 5/10 drone complex you either need remote armor repairers or you need to snipe. I'm not sure remote armor repairers will work well either. I brought in a armor tanked Battle Cruiser that popped in 15 seconds once they started firing on me. Some corp mates and I got to the fifth level to find 6 drone battleships as well as other drones. There's more levels to the complex we were in too. I'm hearing the drone complexes are harder than other complexes though.
Fighting in close is especially hard since some of the drones are like large frigates while others are battleships. It's hard to have one setup that will deal with both well. Sniping seems to be the way to go here.
Thanks for the information though. It was somewhat brief, but answers the question.

I've done a 6/10 sanshas complex and we did it like this (a bit overkill btw): ships: 1 raven, 2 apocs, 1 mega, 1 tempest. raven goes all hardeners in med, damagemods in low and launchers in high. apocs goes all cap-power rely/cap rechargers and about 6 medium remore shield transfers. mega and tempest go for longrange damage.
raven aggros everything in sight and apocs shieldtransfers to him, mega end pest takes out everything with help from all others drones.

I find Drones 5/10 harder than any regular plex of similar lvl (except maybe Angels). The queen on last lvl spawns some nasty citadel torps
I don't see how it can be done close range, but if you can easily stay out of their optimal and kill them easy. Just dont get caught close range by the respawn

How do you prevent NPCs from aggroing the support ship? My experience is, that NPC not only aggro the ship, which shot at them.

Well the Angel 10/10 is completed daily and there are many different ways to do it ranging from a huge fleet to just 3-4 ships.
For a very difficult complex (10/10) you can bring in a ceptor or Assault frig that aggros the entire spawn while the BS sit from Range and just pop one BS after another. The drawbacks with this type of tactic is that the Ceptor/AF pilot can run outside of the main groups range and the spawn will then aggro on the BS that is closest. The ceptor/AF may also pop and that can give a bad day.
Usually, on a 10/10, the first level is the most difficult to tank due to the huge numbers. As long as the scrambling frigs are taken out fast you can warp in an dout as foten as you like.
Another way is to have the whole group with remote armor/shield reps. The main tanker sits closest to the spawn and the support sits 3-4k behind. as long as no other ship goes in front of the tanker - the main group should not change target. The main drawback to this tactic is that the tanker may not be able to hold off the assualt of 14+ NPC BS, 10 Frigs and multiple cruisers.
Using a full set of Halo implants on the tanker makes him/her a lot more difficult to hit - especially if they are moving.
Bringing along a BS with leadership mods in Shield Resistance/Additional Armor/ Reduced Sig Radius is also a big plus.

Thanks for the informative answer. There is another problem with the 2nd approach - if you warp straight into one group, because then there is no front... ;-)
