It's a .2 so I comb through the belts looking for them, I find them mining at 2nd to last and kill and pod one (other warps). The guy I hit locked me, he had light missiles and medium/light drones yet he attemped to do nothing against me. I killed his Osprey and his pod, he clones in system. This is what ensued: EVE System > Channel changed to Orfrold Local Channel Ikvar > Just out of interest, why didn't you shoot back with your missiles or launch drones? ***** > WHY U DONT U¯ Ikvar > Pardon? *** > go in the 0.0 sectro if u are a real man and WANZT TO FIGHT Ikvar > I go to 0.0 a lot, plus being -9.9 everywhere is like 0.0 for me as can be shot anywhere Ikvar > And you can't expect to go in a belt of a .2 and not have anyone shoot Ikvar > Your CEO is very rude. I was kind of angry, because the insurance payout was like a quarter of what I needed to simply replace the ship. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a tech 1 cruiser shouldn't be all that hard to replace with insurance, and if he's a new character, he probably was using miner 2s at the most. Clearly he didn't care about his drones since he didn't even bother using them. I mean, sure, you screwed up their day probably, but I don't think it's much to cry over. I'm with you on wondering what these people were crying about.

As for the not shooting back he may have had to use the rest rooms ect. as for him/ceo being mad some people just take games to seriously and have to learn its a game and to lossen up when playing, or thay may have been trying to make you feel bad enough to buy them a new ship or the likes. BTW im not saying pirates are bad i plan to be one once i get the skills to Edit btw if anyone from sn1g could fill me in why were 2 people fighting over verones corpse? I wish i had a sig :( btw if anything in my posts are spelled wrong sry

If your character is a raving lunatic, who also happens to be a seriel murderer, pod away. However, if you're an intelligent pirate things could atleast be made entertaining for both sides; Perhaps you come across them and warp scramble the guy and demand a toll to be paid. If he tries to escape, cripple his ship or destroy him, then he brought it on himself. I'd be pretty annoyed, regardless of being in a place where it's likely to happen. Minding my own business, in a rather defenseless ship (Compared to a l337 Interceptor) and being destroyed out of nowhere by Random Pirate A wouldn't make me too happy either. Saying "You brought it on yourself, quit whining about your fun" is a lame argument; when you kill them you're infringing upon their entertainment and hours of their life spent sitting infront of a computer screen when that time may of been spent in the real world. Figure; having some guy in a 30+ million ISK ship come out of warp, mow you down without a word, kill you, and think both parties enjoyed themselves is pretty naive. Maybe if more players were inclined to play their characters (And were also able to spell correctly) my opinion of "Making the encounter more enjoyable for both parties through ransom" may be more reasonable. Sure, it took me alot of agent missions to save up for my caracal (I simply cannot stand mining), and if I lost it I'd be in the hole a few mil isk even after the insurance payout when I'd rearm, but so what? It's just a game, and odds are I'd have fun. I'd be mad, not as mad as these guys, but honestly, they're probably just kids, or unstable adults. Odds are the guy didn't shoot back because he was probably afk or macro mining, and got back to the PC after hearing people yell in Teamspeak. ;) assuming I'd have some shred of a chance of winning/escaping.

You invite this by 1) Attacking them 2) Using profanity in your title 3) A humor based bunch of stuff in your bio which screams "haha, I kill people" I puzzled over why the hell the fella woulda used one of the words he did, maybe he thought your corp name was a play on the word? Is it? I'm all for the humor approach, but if you would prefer an ice cold response - you could aim your bio, your title, and your lack of response to accomodate. You'd be more fearsome that way anyhow.

At the laundrymat there are a few stand up, full size video games you can plop a quarter into and kill some time between washes. There are 2 pinball machines, a 4 in 1 video game machine and a scrolling arplane... blow the hell out of everything in sight 1942 style game. A young man (17-18yrs) was playing the 1942 style game with not much luck. His face was turning a little pink and I could here him say under his breath, "COME ON!!!!" repeatedly and insanely. He continued plugging quarters into the machine at a rapid pace trying to continue further on. But, alas. He got to the point where he was sick of dieing so quickly and wasting too much money on the game. When his final man had died he smashed his fist into the buttons and gave the joystick a b*tch slap jerk before he stormed out the door. Ikvar. Your story riminded me of bad sports like this who are missplacing their anger. Some people just don't know how to take their "hard knocks".

Saw the corp as Snigg and for a second my heart stopped as it always does when i see snigg pop up. Even worse when i saw it was Ikvar and how close he was. Would suck to fly this far to pick up my cpu only to be destroyed. Fortunatly nothing happened and i warped off saluting as i left the system ;) I might have reacted differently had i been blown up twice. As excessive as it is some people will always get this upset over games. I saw someone post an evemail once that said something like "I hope you contract HIV". People are stupid!
