If you had left it as this without involving 5 then i dont think anyone would be getting excited outside of SE/SA

I have old friends in SE and would still shoot em if I had to, it's the way of alliances and associations. When you choose to put yourself in those alliances, you have to be willing to deal with these types of issues. If you don't like your alliance dealings, leave or fight with them. There are different styles of players in eve, to some they get a huge betrayal to some enemies just become friends. Some have different goals and at times they parallel each others goals but when time comes for them to grow apart one side deems it betrayal the other just says it's for fun and how it's only a game. but regardless to the one that deems it betrayal, that is exactly what it is and nothing can change that, same goes for the other side of the fence... really makes gank style pvp and alliance warfare worthless IMO and my opinion is the best.
