The Corp:
Eve Defence Force is a Military Pirate Hunting corp with a clear chain of command covering all timezones. Built around the belief in balance, Eve Defence Force acomplishes its goals through three Divisions:
Eve Defence Logistics: Responsible for mining, manufacturing and research.
Want to get rich while creating the tools to help defeat Piracy? Eve Defence Logistics Miners and Haulers will be paid by the hour. Split between Empire and Frontier (0.0) Operations. One day you may even end up flying one of our Freighters.
General Operations: responsible for organising EDF Agent Runners, allocation and training of personnel and Sales.
Agent Runners: Responsible for the procurement of Impants and Tech 2 Blueprints.
Agent running solo can be a lonely life. Eve Defence Operations encourages its Agent Runners to participate in group missions. We also encourage you to start your own R&D project and offer you a choice between two routes.
Eve Defence Sales: Responsible for trading and sales of blueprints, ships, ammo, modules, and weapons.
If you're a trader as part of our Merchant Fleet, Eve Defence Sales will fund your efforts allowing you to take a cut of the profits thus increasing the amount you make in a deal. Members of the Merchant Fleet are also responsible for delivery of items to our clients or our sales office.
Academy: Responsible for training personnel in their chosen field.
If you're new to Eve and wish to develop your skills in a safe and friendly atmosphere, then Eve Defence Force's Academy is the place for you. When you join, you'll be given all the learning skills plus associated skills needed to start you off on your carer, a ship best suited for your profession as well as a helping hand from our instructors. Upon graduation, you'll be transferred to the Division of your choice.
Corporate Fleet Division:
Legions: Responsible for hunting Pirates and other Combat activities.
If PvP combat is your thing, then our Pirate Hunting Legions are for you. Our Legionarys are required to be able to pilot a variety of ships from Friagates to Dreadnaughts and show competence within their chosen class.
If you prefer running Complexes, join our dedicated team of Complex farmers and help yourself and your corp become rich.
Covert Operations: Responsible for Intelligence gathering, Counter Intelligence, Infriltration and Black Ops
Extraordinarii
An Elite team with access to top technology in return for participating in some of the most dangerous missions our PvPers can undertake. To be part of this unit, you have to be the best of the best.
All members recieve a benefits package that increases with your rank.

The Rules:
- All members need to have a minimum forum participation. Don't expect you to post every day but due to our size and our members ranging from accross the globe, it's easier to organise events via the forum. Failure to do so gets you kicked from the corp (unless you're absent from Eve, of course).
- PvPers need to use Voice Comms. We use Teamspeak. No TS, no PvP.
- All Miners and Haulers need to particpate in a minimum of three corp events per week. During these ops you're paid by the hour. Any other time is yours to do with as you wish. If you choose to mine, corp will by your minerals.
- Agent Runners need to work together. Not always but there will be times when people organise group missions. We expect you to participate if you're on.
- No smacktalking. I couldn't give a toss if you're a noob or a vet. A miner or a hardcore PvPer. You smack talk, you're on strike one. Come Strike three, you're kicked.
- You need to go absent from Eve? Tell someone, we'll work aroud it. If you go AWOL for 30 days, you're out of the corp.
- Teamplay. All members are required to be team orientated. That's both in groups within your division as well as corp wide events. If that doesn't interest you, you don't interest us.
If you cannot follow the above common sense rules then don't even bother applying. We're here to make Eve as fun as you can get. If being alone and doing your own thing when you want is your idea of fun, EDF's not for you. Look elsewhere.

The Requirements:
These are updated depending upon our needs and the balance within the corp:
Europeans:
- Miners:Must be able to operate in 0.0 space
- PvPers got to be able to fly an Interceptor, Covert Ops, Assualt Frigate, HAC or BS
- Agent Runners must have a Level 3 agent and be on the verge of Level 4
- Traders and Haulers must be able to fly Hoarder, Badger II, Bestower or Iteron V
North American's - East Coast and Central/Mountain:
- Miners:Must be able to fly a medium Barge as minnimum
- PvPers got to be able to fly an Interceptor, Covert Ops, Assualt Frig or Battleship
- Agent Runners must have a Level 3
- Traders and Haulers must be able to fly Hoarder, Badger II, Bestower or Iteron V
North America - West Coast:
- Miners:Must be able to fly a Cruiser as minimum
- PvPers got to be able to fly an Interceptor, Covert Ops or Battle Cruiser upwards.
- Agent Runners must have a Level 2 agent and be on the verge of a level
- Traders and Haulers must be able to fly Hoarder, Badger II, Bestower or Iteron IV
South Pacific (Oz, NZ, Singapore etc.):
- Miners:Must be able to fly a Cruiser upwards
- PvPers got to be able to fly a Cruiser upwards
- Agent Runners may have any level Agent
- Traders and Haulers must be able to fly Hoarder, Badger, Bestower or Iteron III

What you have to take into account is that if I could guarantee to recruit the right kind of member, there'd be no need for rules. Unfortnately, life is rarely that simple so those rules are there to make sure no one joins us thinking we're a freelance corp.

Agent runners - we are reorganising some things within this Division. As a result we are temporarily suspending recruitment of you until this is sorted. Believe me, it'll be better if you're paitent enough to wait a couple of weeks.
For now, looking for West Coast and Austrialiasin PvPers and Miners. Moderate expereince helpful but not essential.

Thanks guys and I must say both Contraband and Exodus are both two of the most gentlemanly corps we've ever fought. Honourable foes and really nice guys who are also very good at what they do. If not us then I definately recomend them

Are there still members of the online community 'Malevolents of Xibalba' (MOX) in EDF?
- At the moment I have just joined Eve U for the next two weeks or so as my old corp
(PvP and Freelance orientated)is in the process of disbanding, so I will be looking
for a new corp after that time.
- I would want PvP and no mining tho at a stretch its concievable I might be able to
haul for a miner without swearing a lot.
- I have pirated in the past while bored but seem to be unsuccessful as I have often
reimbursed. -17million just in reimbursments and have two Malkuth Hvy Launchers as loot.
- I have flown briefly with Huzzah in fleet ops against the previous war vs TSBS.
Flown tackle for fleet.
- I have flown tackle for NBSI fleet against KIA, a bit of [5] but missed the V engagements.
(Left NBSI the day after the first dread kill)
- I prefer not to take part in fleet and would prefer smaller gang work, say max 15 ships
tho this is a preferance and I will keep up commitments in fleet if requested.
- I have just under 6million SP mainly in Learning, Sp Command and Gunnery.
I cant use barges or DCM's
- I crave 0.0 access and a good bunch of guys to rant/listen at/to on TS when drunk etc.
- I dont want to be in a position where I have to watch a fellow corp member smacking
like a 12yr old, taking the **** is fine but at least have some creativity and wit pls!
- I am Euro timezone based but doing a research masters and so am on as much as I can and
the missus allowsHowever Eve is paid via her credit card so I cant complain.
But I try for 3 nights a week, the odd random hour in the day and as much of the weekend as possible.
Anyways if thats sounds alright evemail me ingame with some answers to the above and the name of someone I can convo with.

Labyrinth, i understand that you like my forum signature, that's cool, but your signature is waaaaay to big, your signature is 525x155 in resolution, and takes 25040 bytes. 400x120 resolution and 24000 bytes is the biggest signature you can have. So you better fix that before the forum moderators use the Nerfbat on your signature

In answer to your question, we use TS for all Divisions. The only one it's compulsory for is PvP. The other's you're simply encouraged to use for but we do realise that due to family commitments, not everyone is able to.

Been posting a lot for PvPers recently (mainly due to being one myself) but we also need more miners. Preferably Pacific Coast and South Pacific players.
Agent Runners will be getting recruited again soon. We will be recruiting into specific areas to allow for more team orientated missions.

We're now accepting miners who want the ability to make the step to 0.0 but feel they're not yet ready.
However, we're still after hardcore miners who want to make decent money and mine the best ores who are capable of Deep Core Mining and Ice Mining.
PvPers, we are focusing on more expereinced BS pilots for now. Plenty of targets with the capabiolity to PvP daily but with a rich enough area to keep yourself rich.

Be nice, respectful and help the corp and you'll have chance to become very, very rich.

You emphasise experienced BS PvPers from Eurozone - I'm not in that class but keen to learn (only around 4 Million SP so far - all in learning and combat).
Since joining I've wanted to stop the 'rats and be one of the Good guys . . . (you are the good guys right?
Do you want a pilot who hasn't progressed past Cruisers because he wants to be an expert at all aspects his craft before going to bigger and more powerful ships . . or should I wait until I am at lvl V in everything on a HAC before applying? Working my way through Gunnery spec levels and lower level pilot skills and currently working at being the best Rifter Pilot in the universe before moving on to Inty and HAC training . . . .
My current Corp offers no challenge, they do not respond to challenges and they do not avenge insults. They are also too wary to go below 0.3 space. This is very confining. I need a challenge and a role which allows me to help in the protection of those who cannot protect themselves (alas - until I get higher level skills that is mostly me . . .)

Tundar, we've simply recruited a lot of HAC pilots recently as per my focus. I simply wanted to shift the focus back to BS pilots.

I currently am a little under 3mil character that rejoined eve about 2 months ago. Still new to the game as a whole but I have the mechanics down from playing around in the beta. You guys seem like a well defined group and a good group of people to boot.
I spose my question is this.. currently I'm working twords Interdictors. I'm about a week from starting Interceptors. are you guys even in need of such a pilot? And when should I consider even applying.

What we don't want are people who've never been in a corp before or complete starters because there's just too many security issues surrounding that. However, we're discussing some changes for 2006 so those of you who fall into this catagory, stay tuned for an update
Oh and roughly 40% of our corp is from the North American Continent. It's just that Asia Pacific timezone is our weakest (roughly 10 guys or so online compared to 30-60 in other times) and we're trying to balance each timezone out.

Im from the south pacific region (australia) and im interested in joining however the current situation of recruitment has been changed and im now waiting for a reply on it. I do not care about the rewards EDF offers i just wish to join EDF, im willing to operate in 0.0-0.4 sec space and not accept any rewards for a month all i want to do is be a part of EDF. I echo many sentiments in this forum. I am a returning player to EVE having spent time in beta and playing shortly after release. Due to certain circumstances I had to quit but now am back for the long haul. I have started a new account and look forward to building a solid foundation. Don't apply unless invited to.
Don't put on your application "Hi". Do so and we'll say "bye" and reject your app. We have a recruitment team and the person who accepts may not be the same dude you spoke to.

I've been looking for a new home for myself, and after looking over several I feel that EDF would be an excellent place to find a roof over my head. Have just over 7M sp, pretty much spread around, working on getting into a large barge right now, and I fly a Domi, more than willing to do what I am able to help out the corp as it grows. I'm most interested in taking a position in the mining division. I'm in the central US timezone.

A little about me: 28.5mil sp. Been playing for over 2 years, mostly mining and kill mission agent running. Just finishing up training Mining Barge to V tonight, but I haven't mined since I lost my last apoc and needed the mins to build a new one, which was probably 9 months ago. My base mining skills are maxed out (Mining, Industry, Refining and Refine Eff. all at V) I can currently run level 4 missions for Imperial Shipment, but I think I am going to switch to another organization to see if I can get some better mission rewards. Don't get me wrong, 50 exotic dancers + 100 units of soil + 20 units of heavy water = Mud wrestling at Vegemites pad!!! But really, I could do with some more money instead. I have been running standard kill missions, but I am interested in trying out some Complex farming.
I have most of my ship skills in Amarr -> Frig, Cruisers, BS, Covert Ops, Interceptors and Battle Cruisers, but I also have some skill in Caldari as well, all the way up to BS, but the levels aren't as high. I have most of my skills in beams and missiles, having 5 in all tech 1 beams and at least 4 in the tech 2 beams and pulses. I have all of the new missile skills at 4 or 5 as well, but no tech 2 stuff in that area .......yet.
Well, I think that is enough babbling about me. I will keep an eye on this thread to see when you get your site up and running again and I will start the app process.

Hello, Your corp ideas and goals are really appealing to me. Being able to play(work) with ppl in specialized fields with veterans and newcombers alike but still being part of the overall scheme. I'd like to be but a single cog in that well oiled war machine that is EDF but I am quite confused on some things.
I live in Vegas(West coast US) and I see that for pvp its inty/bs/ and upwards? Im a new play only been playing for 3 weeks, i have 500k sp and flying a carcal right now doing lvl 2 missions.My main goal atm is to eventually get into a stealth bomber , the idea of coming out of cloak and launching a volley of cruise missles at a target albeit another player/npc/installation is so appealling.Though I would keep a ferox prolly to do NPCs and farm money since it seems to me(in my minimal knowledge of the game) that stealthbomber wouldnt be good at npc pirate fighting.
So my question would be, would I have a chance in your well established corporation or i'm too "new" in a sense and need more experience under my belt(mainly sp and flying options)?
Edit: I'm sorry still learning forums and dunno why its saying my charc name is dasfdsaf. My Charcacters name in game is Cinge, and im sure theres a way to use that when I make a post, but I seemed to have missed it .

Now, some tightening of Recruitment seeing as we're getting a tad large these days.
PvPers need to be able to fly a BS, use T.S. Preferably you need Fleet PvP expereince but we will consider novices based upon skill sets and on a case by case basis.
Miners need to be flying a medium barge minimum and have Ice Mining skills. DPM is helpful but not essential. If you can't Ice Mine and want to apply to EDF, train Ice Mining first.
If you're an Agent Runner, we expect to have something sorted by the end of the month.
NPCers - If you guys can't fly a BS and have at least 6 million skill points then don't even bother applying.
Exceptions: Anyone from the Asia Pacific area - Singapore, Korea, Japan, Oz or NZ, you guys will be allowed to join so long as you can fly a Cruiser as a minimum.
Eve Defence Force is in an Alliance. Being in an Alliance means a lot of warfare. If you're scared of warfare, don't even bother applying. Joining then going innactive and playing WoW or whatever while the rest of us fight is a waste of our time.
Similary, if you're a guy who wants to do his/her own thing or has authority issues then don't bother applying.
Eve Defence Force is a Military corp and being in EDF means you're a team player. You'll get rich, just not at the expense of the corp.
