I forgot. I actually have two carriers. Lol.
See.
ISK is easy to make.
There is a sea of it out there, sloshing about, between carebears buying pimped e-peen chariots and alleged hardcore PVPers trying to keep their killboard stats as pure as possiblevia pimp, boosts and ISBOXINg and being useless douchewads.
On the one hand, people sell PLEX for ISK to fund their e-peen insecurities or invest in ISK making; on the other hand, some spend big in real dollars to compensate for their otherwise feckless, worthless mother's basement dwelling lives by ISBOXING and loki-boosting themselves in their pimped Hookbills. others run corps to scam their members of their tax and use the profits to support empires which do little but support twenty accounts based on daytrading scams; other scam and lie and cheat and betray to get their ISk.
Meanwhile, a guy with level five Tycoon skill (one of only eight, last time I checked) sets up a fully functioning market hub by himself with 239 open market orders, all in one system, by himself, suppplied via a wormhole, and charges a 30% markup, and the ISk flows. Oh, it flows.
And after five years of being the water wheel in this river of ISK, when all is said and done, and the fascination with the dynamics of human intelllect, egoes and vanities dies away and you are left with the realisation that, firstly, you are playing with man-children, in an inherently boring game where excitiment is only provided by the allegedly actual consequences of loss associated with destruction of assets (unlike respawning or matchplay based games), the reality is, you have no assets to lose; for the river of ISk fills your buckets over-ful with minimal efforts, leaving you with over 40 billion ISk while you fly 6 million ISK Vigils and murder pimped e-peen deficient loki-boosted hookbills flown by 3 billion ISK clones.
So.
There you are. I'm only halfway through stripping my toon down to a Vargur and a thousand rounds of ammo, which will be my fallback position in case I wish to restart playing, and already people who I haven't known are coming out of the woodwork to scam me, and I've discovered a Chimera i bought on a whim 3 years ago, lying in Aridia, which I honestly had forgotten about.
And when you can turn up carriers and 3 billion ISk Nightmares you never use....really. You're hardly playing the game. Taking submissions for "Trinkets friendly Advice Column" via evemail or private convo in-game. Anonymity sorta guaranteed. http://www.localectomy.blogspot.com.au

I don't know you but I just wanted to say your EvE success is impressive, I'd like to achieve a small measure of that myself, and your return to RL is equally impressive, I'd drop EvE in a flash if some of my problems could be resolved.

I am not worried about making billions if I come back. It's easy. A heron, a half dozen core probes, and a venture is all it takes.
Trashing it would be pointless, the only point would be to destroy in-game ISK to reduce mudflation, which is a conceited opinion that whatever any one player aside from Mittens or maybe Chribba has, is in any way significant. I've given stuff to people who will get it blown up because I obviously haven't and won't. You are assuming I assign any value to any of this; I do not. Therefore I am being pragmatic and logical and calculating. People who need pimped POS guns get 250M in shiny laser batteries. People who will die in Rattlers like fools get them. Exacty. Like the BUGRIS corp of Soft Angels Alliance whose only goal in this game is to run from every fight in their DUAL stabbed CLOAKY thrashers, evade all day long until they can "grief" by ganking a Gila with 20+ ships. And then they go on and actually make a bragging blog post about it, how the 20+ of them "griefed" the Gila pilot who was looking for some fun fights.
You are right, this kind of trollish behaviour should be sanctioned, and everyone feels relieved that someone whose entire game experience is based on destroying the fun of other players quits.

Trinket's my good man, you were a good man and friend to fly with, you will be missed. I agree that I have gotten too consumed in the game and may walk away for a bit to wipe clean the slate.
In the meantime, if you still have any BLOPS, I would like a price check on aisle 6.

Don't know you aside from the forums, but the advice I've seen you give has generally been pretty decent. Sorry to see you're burned out; based on what you've described, it's definitely understandable.
Hopefully at some point the burnout will wear off and you'll decide to dip back into New Eden once again. Until then, fly, er, drive safe. o7 "My hotdrop was bigger."

Gonna miss your forums posts (they make up about 50% of the fun I get from EvE), whether they're rants or good-natured advice alike. Come back soon, yeah?
Also, I'm making my grand re-entrance to the WH scene, would you care to throw me an armor T3? Or even a HAC? Would be greatly appreciated. =)

Trinkets dude ... just take a break man .... everyone gets burned out after a while. especially if your just grinding engagements all day everyday ... back when i first went to nullsec i was so excited for non stop splosions and was grinding fleets every night and getting like 30ish kills a night on average back last july ..... http://eve-kill.net/?a=pilot_detail&view=kills&plt_id=717662&m=7&y=2012 did alot of frigate work ... scouting ... dodging gate camps every night ... hero tackles and baits.... although it was quite fun at the end of my first BINGE i was pretty burnt out .. since then i have taken a more conservative approach. and have toned it down quite a bit so i usually only mess around on the weekends now.
yeah i am not getting all the kills now but i am much less burnt out and dont feel like im working a 2nd job when im playing. just step back and take it easy for a few months or a year ... setup shop in a trade hub and troll locals for a few months while selling your ships and buy plex's with your money for free gametime.
if you do think this is truly the end for you and your not coming back ... i must say i rather enjoyed your witty retorts and feedback and you seem to have a unique persona which fits into the game and will be missed. good luck on your travels bro if you do leave and if you are giving ships away b4 u go hook me up with some of your gallente ships. =)
