Looks like a bad week to be a trial player.
I most deff am gonna start a proper account when trial runs out in 10 days,already sent extra payment to cc comp but all this dt in a week is making me think twice.
I think the games really good but what has been said about 1 hr dt per day including weekends seems a reasonable question,why weekends too?
Recent patch released scheduled dt ran way over due.
Today is stinky.
This tuesday,another patch?(4mb),how long we gonna be unable to connect then?
Will c how it goes in last week of trial.
Hope u guys manage to stay within advertised dt.

I really despise companies that fail to deliver what their customers have paid for. Go try to run a system even 1000 times less complex than EVE.
Once you realise how hard it is to run such a system, you will realise how great a job CCP is doing.
CCP is not a faceless corporation--it is a group of developers that have faces and personalities. Right now, they are working to fix the problem. By the way, if you think you are entitled to 100% uptime and perfect gameplay, I would suggest you read the EULA again. You're not.

I don't think they're fanboys... I think they're IT professionals and techs who are used to IT screwing up every five minutes and can sympathise with the poor guys having to work hard getting the server back up at 3:30pm on a Sunday afternoon (and missing the cricket while they're at it). It wouldn't surprise me if they ran a skeleton crew on sundays and have had to pull in people who were otherwise enjoying a relaxing weekend...
So don't be too harsh, eh? Go spend some time with your family... get some chores done now rather than being hassled for not doing them while playing.

we all know this is annoying, but please, stop complaining, they do care about there problems and don't you think the whole ccp team, tech's, ... are doing everything they can, Iceland and London must be on full red alert.
Been playing for more than a year now and it's sad to always see people complaining when servers go berserk. As a network enineer i can tell that no1 problems are mostly hardware and we all now hardware is not 100% failsafe. You can have a billion dollar machine, if one small component go's 'pop' it's over...
And they do give extra gametime from time to time.
There a worst things in life than an exellent game going offline for a few hours...
And to those that wanna flame me, go ahead i'm immune to it

Wow, this is taking a while. This morning I've watched from episode 11 to episode 18 of Neon Genesis Evangelion, and its still down... . Hey at least it gives me an excuse to watch something I should have seen 8 years ago.

CCP IS doing a great job, at everything. I can live without eve for a few days so a few hours is not going to kill me... Some of you people need to grow up that says "CCP sucks" and "They are doing a horrible job" if you dont like it GO PLAY ANOTHER GAME or better yet try yourself, well see how far you get. If you seriously freak out because you cant get in, I suggest you go get some help
Anyways as long as CCP is trying to fix this I am happy

From what I've seen after playing this game for a year and a half, getting mad does very little. I get frustrated when I want to get on for a few hours before work, but can't, just like everyone else. Guess if you don't like it, Only solution is to cancel account. Come back in a few months and see if it's any better.

And EVE isn¦t everything in life. Our corp wanted to mine a bit. But this will be delayed.

Well if where I work is anything to go by, everyone at CCP will be running themselves into a frenzy trying to get this sorted...
I can see poor Froggy (Seems the resident Infrastructure Guy) being whipped by Oveur and Kieron, while trying to get the fibre arrays to connect properly 
Anyways .. it'll be back up and running when it's back up and running .. chill have a beer and relax 
EDIT - Once it's fixed CCP - Could you get Froggy to do a blog on the issue this time (Just a sad techie geek who likes to know what was the cause and resolution

Now when it comes back up everyone don't crazy and log in the first possible second, isn't that what caused the problem in the first place? Just walk away from the computer for 5-10 minutes when it says starting up, that way we don't cluster **** it again and we can actually get onto the game...

Im sure it will be running soon as possible, They are working as hard as possible to revert the problem (well once they have had a coffee).
I dont think people are just fed up with the server DT (breakage) but more with the fact that eve is slowly getting worse one hotfix after another. LAG 4TW among other dodgy bugs and problems.

Hardware and networking are both based on magic so you need to sacrifice a goat or two. So I guess the boys att CCP is sharpening their knifes at the moment

* Say hi to your girlfriend/boyfriend. That's the person at the other computer.

Where is this perfect, intricate, and entertaining MMOG that never crashes, never patches, never has server down-time, and players never have to wait for customer service to assist them? I want to play it!
Someone has been hiding this from me, because it *must* be out there.
Surely, whiners in this forum and every other MMOG that I've seen, couldn't be making a baseless accusation without a similar standard for comparison?!

I think that threads like this show the real server stability.
Everyone is so used to the server being there when it should be and then go ape when it isn't.
Calm down guys and gals, it'll be up when its up and there is nothing any of us players can do about it.
And if CCP holds true to their own track record they'll post information about the cause of the server failure after they have it working again.
