I don't like the feeling of being left out in dead water with no way to row or sail. Working for all but Ammatar is close to impossible in Derelik. I loved the region because of the mix of Thukker, Minmatar and Ammatar stations very much. But these days, there are death traps all over.
And I certainly cannot imagine a reason why the fiercly independent fighters against slavery suddenly turn around and hug Angels. Especially since the Khanid and Amarr are in love with each other, despite substancial rumors about the former emperor being killed by Khanid agents.
I hope this story isn't just another open end in EVE's history. Else I can just switch sides and work for the Amarr. Their ships are becoming more and more interesting.

Hehe, this topic was started a year and 8 days ago so we've been waiting for a year, two months and 8 days for CCP to actually start their storyline.
Whats my point? 1 year and two months is well below the average waiting time for storyline completion
8 more days and itll be two years since the elections started...

Now the FanFest is done and alcohol levels should be down to normal level, can we have the promised info on why the Thukker Tribe turned around and support the slaving Angel Cartel now? --*=*=*--

Originally by: Illyaina Karia I think part of the deal with all these stories left stranded [...]
I'd be very surprised if there was any relation between the outlawed Amarr sekt, the Thukker Tribe, the Minmatar Republic and the Angel Cartel. The Tribe's standing towards the Amarr MaybeSoonanEmpireagain and the Ammatar Directorate did not change. But Thukker turned around from proRepublic to proCartel.
After way more than one year, we still hear that there's a plan.
It is fun losing access to your research agents by working for their corps, isn't it?
Thukker Tribe agents still send you out against Amarr and Ammatar ships in Ammatar space. Yeah, that's a confirmed bug. We got a nice aggro timer display that doesn't work correctly half the time as a workaround so you wont get a ship you lost at a gate further down the trip home replaced for a year now.
@Ginger.: Please go spill infos and stop spreading hot air. Oveur and Kieron are paid to spread the latter. We have more than enough promises about plans for the next 5 years. The system is still broken and ccp seems not to care about it for the 30 minutes it would take to write an info blog.
Thukker Tribe used to be fighting slavery on all fronts. Now they're big buddies with the Angel Cartel that's known for slave raids and trade. That's as logical as anything and it really makes the proud Thukker Tribe pilots happy in their pants.
I am glad you have a plan.
Btw. supporters of the Tetrimon Cult are to be put to death on the spot, no way around it by an unlifted Emperor's decree. And without an Emperor ... but that's the topic for another thread and it doesn't allow a good or long lasting story.
P.S.: This forum is still half dead, but only for like 10 months now, so ... --*=*=*--

Originally by: Ginger. [...] It was a mistake that the Thukkers standing changes were not explained at the time, and were extremely sorry for that. [...]
It was a mistake to do the technical part of the storyline change without any storyline, explanation or logical hook. As soon as it was clear that there was no way to follow the technical changes with the related background, undoing the steps for the time being would have been the better solution. Even setting the standing towards Cartel and Republic to 0.0 would have been better until someone had the time to properly do the big changes down south.
Whereever I did such changes to my campaigns as a GM or encountered such changes in any RP environment, the storyline lay the base before any changes took place. And normally the players drove the changes, not the GM/devs changing the basics silently in the background. Well, actually normally the GM/devs drove the players to 'chose the right path'. And whatever the outcome was, the players decicion moved the story along, even if it meant that the change the GM/dev hoped for did not happen. Just as with the jaded Ray of Matar. When she undocks, she better has her clone up to date. Tribal societies tend not to tolerate incompetent leaders.
But I understand the importance for opening another venue to feed the payerbase the most useless T2 (pirates) implants *giggles with a Halo*. At least a dev did promise to make them available through shady factions and we remembered him of his promise when the year turned towards the next FanFest (and the ColdWar patch) and followed through to his word - with a little side effect of breaking everything related to the Thukker Tribe. --*=*=*--

Thank you for the missing fantastic explanatory event 1 1/3 years after the technical changes!
I think I owe you a glas of lukewarm water now at the next FanFest.
Current Status: Thukker Tribe R&D agents are still sitting in Ammatar and Minmatar HiSec. In the very regions you wont be able to access should you decide to run important missions for Thukker Tribe agents should you decide to work for better standing for more RP/day.
The Thukker Tribe's still on friendly terms with those slavers they used to fight and hunt down wherever they found them. --*=*=*--
