Hello,
I have spent considerable time tinkering with EvE's overview settings and I would like to publicly offer my services as a creator of custom overviews.
What is a Custom Overview?
I expect that most people are familiar with the function of the overview, and many of you will have already customised it for your own needs. My service primarily consists of formatting certain elements of the overview for aesthetic purposes. Perhaps the best way to demonstrate this is with an example.
I can modify the font size, colour and effect (bold, italic, underlined) of the text within the overview tabs to achieve unique results based on the needs of the client.
The Ship Labels that appear when you mouse over, select or target a ship in space are handled slightly differently. With the exception of 'Distance', the order in which these items are displayed can be altered so as to prioritise information. As you can see, they can also be formatted similarly to the overview tabs for improved viewing.
Why should I buy a Custom Overview?
There are many reasons to buy a Custom Overview. I personally found it difficult to read the small default text, so increasing the size and adding a little colour now allows me to identify information quickly in the heat of battle. They are also very pretty to look at and you will surely become the envy of all of your friends if you have one!
You could make one yourself; there are undoubtedly others who have, but it is a time consuming and somewhat frustrating effort to manipulate the overview settings correctly.
How does it work?
The EvE client uses an external .XML file to store data relating to the overview. This can be exported from the in-game overview menu and then modified manually. Once the changes have been made, the file can be reimported into the game in the same way it was exported.
After a client has paid for a particular service (as described below), I will provide them with an .XML file containing the overview data, ready to be imported.
I strongly recommend that clients make a back-up of their original overview settings by exporting them in the normal method. I will not be held liable for any damages that occur as a result of using this service (though if people have an issue, I will do my best to help them).
How much does it cost?
I'm offering my services at what I believe is a modest rate.
I charge 50 million ISK for my Standard Custom Overview and 100 million ISK for an overview with formatting options specified by the client. Both of these options include my profile settings (the filters which control which information is displayed by the overview), but you do not have to use these.
If you want me to create custom profile settings as well as custom formatting, the fee would be 185 million ISK.

50m ISK gets you the overview in the picture. Though, I would recommend that you at least browse the documentation to ensure that you don't run into problems that will take you longer to fix.

I cannot recommend the custom job enough, I find it pleasing to see my opponent in full fatty-font color coded goodness.
If you would love a colorful wealth of information bristling from your OV, or perhaps you just have trouble reading the terrible eve font in the heat of battle, this service will leave you with a grin on your face and a lump in your 3,000 AUR pantaloons. |

When you choose to export your overview, the EvE client generates an external .XML file containing your overview data. This file can be modified, manually, and then re-imported into the game via the in-game overview menu.
It is actually possible to do the colors in-game, though, it is much easier to just modify the file. |

2. What post sales support will I receive, especially if CCP releases future client version that impacts the operation of this mod.

Hi Marcus, I am happy to answer your questions. I was wondering when they would come up!
1.
Firstly, I believe that the modifications are compliant with the EULA. The reasons for this are numerous, but perhaps the three most compelling aspects are that: all of the changes can be made in-game without modifying an external file (the external method merely makes it a simpler task), the client is specifically designed so that a user may export and import the external files and finally, there have been numerous tools and contributions prior to mine in a similar vein. Please note that my adjustments are manual and I do not use a third party tool.
2.
You may have noticed that in the original post there is a link to documentation for the service. For most people, this has been sufficient to allow them to install the package without issue. I am, however, perfectly willing to assist clients during the installation process or discuss the service in detail while I am online.
To answer your question more thoroughly, I have previous experience of software engineering and this has allowed me to provide a better and more sustainable service. The current version of the overview package is v2.2; I have back-ups and detailed logs of each version as far back as v0.5. This has already allowed me to prevent a potentially major issue, when an error in v1.8 caused some of the filters to display incorrectly. Using a previous version of the package that had been archived, I was able to quickly fix the issue and provide everyone who purchased that version of the package with an up-to-date version which did not contain the error.
I really enjoy providing this service and the support for it (the quality of which I hope is evident from other user's posts in this thread) and anyone, regardless of whether they intend to purchase or not, is free to contact me either here or in-game to discuss it.
This is likely to remain the case for the foreseeable future, however, it would not be reasonable of me to claim that this will always be the case. Nor can I promise that patches to the package will be provided if changes are made to the EvE client that affect the service.
I also intend to create a system which will alert anyone (if they wish - I have no intention to spam) who has purchased a package of new updates, as well as providing a means to easily acquire and patch their previous version. I expect this will take the form of a mailing list, but as of yet, I am unsure.
3.
Yes. You do not have to purchase the packages seperately, thus, if you purchase the standard package for 50m ISK and later decide you want to upgrade to the improved package, you will only need to augment your first payment with a further 50m ISK to total the 100m ISK value of the improved package.
4.
Before answering your question I want to comment on this issue briefly:
Because of the nature of this service (essentially a digital file) I cannot realistically prevent people from distributing it to others who are not my clients. I have put considerable effort and time into producing the packages, the documentation as well as providing updates and support for the service - for this, I believe the fee I ask is modest. So, I ask that clients do not distribute my packages to others without my express permission. I have no objection to clients using it for multiple characters or accounts, though.
Returning to your question, the answer is that it must be installed seperately for each account. If you want them each to have different profiles and tabs, I would recommend that you install the same package to each character and then modify them individually for their own specific needs.

Just purchased the standard overview package and I have to say how pleased I am with the service Liberty is providing here.
When I first mailed him his response was prompt and professional and once I wired him the isk the "goods" were promptly delivered. He even appolagiesed becuse he apparently did not realise I had sent the money that quickly. (Not that it actualy mattered, I had gone to bed to try and sleep )
Installation was fast and easy and the included documentation was very easy to follow. I now have a synchronised overview for both my characters something I was previously too lazy to set up on my own.
My only complaint was that I had a bit of trouble actually downloading the overview document from the file sharing site but that was probably more on the fault of the host than Mr Prime.
All things considered I would definitely recommend this service to anyone who, like me, is/was in desperate need of a better overview. The colour choices are great, the overview set-up is fluid an intuitive and everything completed in just a few short minuets. |

As I said in the first post, this service is by no means original. The people who purchase these packages do so because they consider the time required to configure the overview to be worth more than what I charge for the service.
It's interesting to notice that in the thread you linked, many of the posters are encountering the same difficulties that I had when I first started this service. If I were a client, I would certainly be willing to part with 50m ISK to avoid that. |

Today I'm releasing a new version for all of the packages; version 2.5. The update is in response to the Crucible expansion, which enabled overview scaling as well as a new (rather pretty) font.
As pretty as it is, the new font is a little large for the overview tab labels when an overview package is installed. This issue is addressed, and new formatting for the tab labels is provided. Additionally, the update makes the 'tiny' formatting rather obsolete and I removed it from the formatting options as a result.
So, the 'Standard' and 'Small sizes remain. Here's how they look with a few different UI scaling options (blue-to-white is shown here arbitrarily):

The above image is to scale, so I hope you will be able to judge the differences rather well. You can always change your mind later, in any case.
I will be providing details of how to acquire this update in the appropriate mailing lists. If you are an existing client, and you are unable to access your mailing list, please let me know! |

Got the premium package in my own selected colours, managed to do them exactly how I Imagined with as little detail needed. Very quickly too, Very easy to set up and looks amazing. Works perfectly for both fleet fights and videos :).

Hello,
For at least the next week or so I will be suspending this service. My real life work is preventing me from providing a timely service here. I will, however, be continuing the service once my workload decreases.
You might also have noticed that the file sharing site that I used, Megaupload, is no longer functioning. Apparently I am one of the few people who used it for legitimate purposes, as the site (and all the servers) were seized by US police. I will find an alternative solution before resuming the service.
If you have already placed an order then you have (at least) two options. You can either request a refund, or, you can give me your e-mail address and I will send the package to you directly. I hope this is satisfactory. |

Today I will be resuming the service, but it has been somewhat modified.
Due to time constraints, I can no longer provide the service of producing a completely customised overview to clients (e.g. producing new profiles and colours for individual clients). As a result, I have decided to remove the division of "premium" and "standard" packages, by setting the price of all packages to 50m ISK. I may add more packages to this selection in future.
I will be changing the mailing lists to suit these changes in time, though they have proven to be considerably more work than I had anticipated and this may be a slow process.
Finally, I have also tried to make the original post less confusing (after three iterations it's only just becoming comprehensible!). Please let me know if there's anything about it that you feel I have explained poorly.

After some deliberation I have decided to make the service free.
Originally the service was manual and a considerable amount of time was required to create a fully customised package for clients. Gradually, the service has become more and more automated and it no longer feels right to charge for it.
Thank you to everyone who has purchased a package from me, via this forum or the website. I sincerely hope that it has served you well!
I will continue to improve the tools on the site and I hope that the removal of a fee will encourage newer players to try it out as well. Feedback and suggestions are welcome and encouraged! |

Took about 18 hours to receive the email. But that is perfectly fine for a free service.
Love it. Found it in my email first thing in the morning so the instructions confused the hell out of me, but now it's set up perfectly.
