Blindly suicide your Rifter like you just did countless times isn't going to help much. However, if you start with a good fitting, you'll know what ship you can engage and what ship you can't. Btw, those OutBreak guys are famous in the alliance PVP tournament, so, it's kinda normal for you to loose, especially with T1 modules and few skillpoints :/

Nano-fits help if you're trying to beat the tracking on a turret cruiser, for example, wheras a repper helps in a frig 1 v 1. The plate + repper fit is a popular one for good reason. Try to fit your ship to engage a particular class of target, or a particular fighting style (kiting, brawling, etc) and then try to engage targets based on that. But yeah, I like what you're doing :) EDIT: train thermodynamics (overheating) as soon as possible, if you haven't already. - "Do not touch anything unnecessarily. And they works just fine since you can't hit them with ACs or short range multifreq T1 lasers.

So I'll give you google key words to use instead: "Flight Of The Dragons Eve" - Takes you to Flight of the Dragons. A Blog by Taurean Eltanin documenting his learning curve from noobdom to pvper. He actually takes 20 frigates and loses them all - learning as he goes. "beginners guide to piracy eve" - A pvp guide by Skira Ranos hosted on Eve-files as a downloadable PDF File. Once considered THE goto guide for learning pvp, its slightly dated now. However, the there is still a lot of relevent material here including how to step up safes/your overview etc. "Rifter Drifter" - Blog by a pilot called Wensley (also a Tusker). Documents his transition from noob to pvper. Also contains the "Rifter Guide" . Widely recognised as the most comprehensive and up to date solo pvp guide for new pilots. Also - head to the My Eve section of the forums to see videos of PvPer in action... its a good learning tool to see how its done well :-) Some of the frigate stuff is really fast paced though. So be prepared to watch it more than once if you're going to learn anything from it. That said - there's only so much reading you can do. Experience is the best teacher. Just being wiling to give it a go and not cry about losses is huge in my mind. I am easing into more and more PVP from my carebear days and now doing some low sec and null roaming as well. You might want to try out something like RvB to really cut your teeth in PVP. Lots of oppertunity to get into fights, a bit less cost in losses. You can still mission where ever you like. Message me if you would like more info on RvB. There is also a NoobFleet that we run ops in now.
