Why would I want to have similar roles ships in every race? Thats why we have 4 races in game so ships are different. Yo are wrecking Amarr ships, and their doctrine - slow, but heavy armor, laser turrets with cap bonus converting some of them into drone boats - like their hated enemies Gallente. If i want a drone boat - Im training gallente. If i want shield tank and ecm - I will train Caldari etc - SIMPLE!
Taking away cap usage bonus from Amarr ships - crazy! Decreasing armor hitpoints -crazy! Giving hull hitopints increase - madness, am I gonna hull tank now or what? Decreasing capacitor without laser turrets cap bonus, you are killing pve apocalypse - crazy! Reduction in armor resistance - you are taking away from small pvp groups possibility to survive on battlefield against bigger numbers, benefit for blob pvp, rather than skill pvp - terrible! Reducing low slots number in only dedicated armor tanked race in Eve - Mercy!
Only good thing is giving option of fitting neutralizing armageddon, thats about it.
Do not ruin this game CCP, please! |

But using ammo isn't forcing you to fit dedicated modules for it, is it? And for cap boosters you have to use med slot don't you? never mind that you can put only couple cap boosters in cargo, which will most likely not last for whole mission. Think before you write something, please.

I just do not understand making abaddon so weak now, keeping capacitor very poor, taking away 5% resistance bonus without giving anything in exchange, on top of it giving 8th lowslot to megathron, while amarr are main armor tanked race? Are we serious? Please do rethink this 8th lowslot bussiness, megathron didnt loose anything - gained 8th lowslot in exchange for useless utility slot while abaddon is loosing a lot. Amarr by definition should be the best armor tanked race, in exchange for speed agility etc, please do not ruin it. Amarr need brick with lasers which abaddon should be.
Never mind over 30 days training amarr BS lvl5 for very little in exchange, we dont need young players in capital ships , I am assuring you Dear CCP. |

Giddion WTF are you thinking this is my personal favorite ship for amarr combat. You dont suffer the crippling cap issues of the other two large drone by for several small/med wings of drones. It only down fall is amarr lasers suck for tracking but with tackle or bs vs bs combat it second to none for a longer engagement.
-3% resists bonus? dont even say it in case CCP will hear it, please. :) |

I have not seen a single post when someone agrees on nerfing abaddon, so nerfing should not happen, simply. And fact that gallente (yes, gallente!) getting 8 lowslot battleship, and amarr not (yet-hopefully) , is just unbelievable. And if 8th lowslot comes at cost of removing 2 higslots (with10%dmg bonus) like some guys suggesting or removing medslot - whatever. it just has to be done. |

I completely do not understand the idea of CCP hate 5% resistance bonus. Explanation "Because logistics is to powerful on it" just doesn't speak to me. Like for me ships generally die to quickly, sometimes its even hard to lock ships in a triage carrier before they die, if you fight against high dps fleet, especially those crazy overpowered Attack Battlecruisers with "8 easyfit biggest guns" on them. So i cant see reason for lowering resistance bonus on ships at all, never mind removing them. bring back 5% resistance bonus on abaddon , please. |

I dont mind changing Armageddon into something different personally - go for it CCP, something different is cool.
Im totally against not changing abadon for better, and I totally hate idea of nerfing it "becouse its too powerfull" and also hate not having 8 lows on any amarr battleship, when gallente has, becouse they cry a lot.
And to people who say logistics its too strong compared to local tank - ofc it is strong, becouse you have dedicated ships repping other ships, not just 1-2 local reppers. Thats the whole idea of logistics, isnt it?

The point being that when logistics are involved resistance bonuses are tremendously more powerful than local repair bonuses, it scales very badly and ensure that only resistance bonuses ships are used for fleet work. So an effort is being made to bring resistance bonused ship down a bit, and we'll see local rep bonus ships being buffed... possibly by making the repair bonus also affect incoming remote repair amount (we'll have to see). I'd still like it if the option were explored to make ship bonuses either repair amount or raw armor/shield amount (like the Augoror)... reserving resistance bonuses for T2 boats. I think this would be much easier to balance over all.
Mate, i have no idea where did you get so many "likes" from, they must be all your alst, or all what you do in eve is writing on forums. And ofc when logistics are involved resistance bonuses are tremendously (difficult word) more powerful than local rep bonuses, because as I said - there are ships dedicated to do job of 2-3 slots in case of local rep.

I really liked the Armageddon, but it was redundant.
One thing it did have going for it was that it was cheap, but as pricing will be leveled that won't be a factor anymore.
Last time I have seen such fleet tonight in gonditsa, there was about 25 navy armageddons and 10 navy apocalypses and second one same night in fageras with 10 armageddons and few navy ones. + other ships ofc. And i know many of them is navy ones, which I believe will be next ones to be ruined.

We aren't gone. Fozzie and Ytterbium and I have been talking about the battleships almost every day still. After our last round of reviews we still feel that Amarr is likely in the best place it can be for Odyssey. You are making them weaker, by reducing efficiency of armor tank (resistance bonuses) and boosting other races (8low slots on gallente) and taking away 50% bonus on capacitor and giving 10% instead. But my biggest concern is direction where EVE seems to be going - more and more benefits for new young players, and taking away advantages from older players with more skills and bigger budgets. Soon 10 t1 cruiser will be taking on triage archon, so new players are happy they killed capital ship with their 5 mil isk cruisers and 4 weeks skills. In 2 years everyone will be flying t1 cruisers and other rubbish, because flying expensive and big ships will not make any sence as "gain versus price+skills required' ratio will be so low. example

The ships that field them have a range of power and application and should each be addresses relative to the new changes individually, rather than making oversimplified "amarr is getting weaker" conclusions. There is virtually no power based conclusions you can make about the relationship between 8 low mega and amarr as an overall race design. You need to be much more specific on how that is a problem. Closing the gap between new players and old players in some areas is definitely positive. If you notice that EVE gets to a point where you would rather have less ISK and SP let me know, we'll fix it asap. I'm curious about your augoror vs guardian comparison - I'm guessing your aurgoror has some other issues that you are leaving out.
Thank you for your answer. I will never win battle on words with you, you are probably are able to make a fool out of me, no problem (your isk/skills comment). My point is you are closing the gap between new players and old players too much. Ofc augoror has other issues, but it doesnt change a fact that t1 ship shouldnt have any (especially that big) advantages over its t2 equivalent, but sure, it me probably making oversimplified conclusions

Some people can call me troll, thats fine, but unlike many people who spam this forum with posts I actually use amarr ships in combat, and by looking on eve-kill.net many "top posters' here kills nothing at all, or if they do its frigates and they flying trashers, and for sure not amarr battleships. So keep on doing your work of cooperating with DEVs in orderly fashion.

After some of my posts were removed, despite not containing anything offensive, conclusion is - this forum is waste of time. Changes will go ahead people do you like it or not. I bet testing will be a farce as well. Amarr ships are being destroyed, slap in the face for investing 51 mil sp in amarr only. And this post will be removed as well probably , because speaks the damn truth which is called "ranting". Changes are mostly FAIL. I do not appreciate CCP approach, thats what players get for over 100 plexes of subscription from accounts combined ( in my case) Thanks a lot. |

Apocalypse should get a bit more CPU as fitting it is pretty hard now, even with max skills. Megathron for a change is so easy to fit even with 2 1600mm plates, full rack of neutron guns and heavy neut i still have 32 cpu left. Not mentioning megathron have much more armor, dps and tracking , only less range Its a big imbalance in my opinion and should be adjusted. |
