More to do with the gun than the ship but so true.
The thing being, the Tach has a purpose. It's a Beam weapon with more range than the Pulse, hits in larger bursts and requires more capacitor to do it. Making it scrazy stupid hard to fit doesn't reflect that role. It just makes the gun useless and as such the role unplayable.
They also work on Paladin and Nightmare but I doubt there are many Tach fit Paladin and Nightmares out there. |

@Ocih : that have already been said countless of times : if Tachyon were easy to fit and use, they would be no less than OP.
They are easy to fit. On a Paladin, Nightmare and Oracle. They aren't being fit though. I guess people don't like OP fits in EVE. |

If they were worth using, they'd be used. That's completely wrong ! Most people playing this game don't care about maths, and even most people posting on these forum don't understand one bit of the maths behind the tracking formula for example ; the best example is all the people believing that your dps is 50% at optimale+falloff (it's 40%), or that you need your target radial velocity to be within your tracking to track it perfectly (tracking have exactly the same curve as falloff after optimale range). Not to mention fashion effects (fotm) and how discoveries work ; and the time needed for meta to shift and adapt sequencialy.
Now you are just inventing stuff. The simple truth is, Tachyon Beam lasers can't be fit because they are too PG heavy and where they can be fit, they aren't because they have a negative bonus due to other factors like rate of fire and tracking. People don't need to know why the Hellcat doctrine is popular to know the people who created it made the best fit possible. Beams suck. Tach's suck. I don't need a degree in EVE to 'prove' it. They do. |

The exception the Geddon and the Proph, I like the direction of the Amarr ships. Tracking for speed tanks. It's kind of what we were supposed to be designed for. You could argue nothing beats a speed tank better than a drone I suppose and as such it still holds to Amarr doctrine of kill those damn Minmatar blue jay fits but I still resent an Amarr drone boat. |

No dps bonus means it's now an Arty/ Neut boat like the Prophecy was for years. That has been the strength of Amarr for 10 years. They were never a laser platform. They just happened to be the only fleet that had the option to use them. They still are. When they aren't, the become an Armor tanking beast with a crazy Capacitor and in this case a Drone bay to boot. Logi the drone bays, add that to the weapons free capacitor tank and I'm thinking a Geddon fleet is going to be one SOB to kill. |

You making no sense.
I'm not a cheer leader.
I adapt. That means I some times need to change. It's a hard concept, I get it. |

Big difference between Geddon and Domi is Geddon can be cruise missile fit with 5 launcher/ turret split option. It's a Khanid weapon now. I'm not on test server or I'd fit one up to see what it did. |

The trouble with PvE is the Sansha neut like gurristas ECM or Serprentis Dampen. That's their Ewar. If the Geddon doesn't have a capacitor buffer, it's not a PvE ship, plain and simple.
In that respect the Minmatar rats are the best ones to kill. They target paint you in to the extreme but they are PvE and were going to apply damage with I-Win optimal anyway. Target paint away, it wasn't going to matter. |

The new Geddon looks bad to the nooblets but I'm seeing visions of a glorious Falcon Solo cloaky/alt killing machine.
And if all else fails, it will make a nice Gas miner. |
