Since you chose to read over it numerous times in this thread I will point something out to you once more: Struggle is a defining element of EVE. Not only in the beginning but throughout the game.

If EVE was 100% fun for 100% of the players, it would be perfect.
It would suck. Who wants to play a game where you can kill an entire hostile fleet through hard teamwork and coordination and achieve nothing? I want my prize, the demoralization of my enemy, their anger and their determination to get back at me and then their inevitable failure followed by their retreat into nothingness.
You, together with your corp/alliance mates can achieve whatever you want. Do you want to hop on the forums exclaiming: "Muwhahaha fear my leet Dreadnaught of doom" or do you want to announce "All 0.0 territories in the south are now claimed by my alliance, trespassers will be shot, mining/npc passes available for ISK". There's your difference right there.

Just because EVE wasnt perfect when you where a rookie, is no reason why CCP should not try to improve the game for others.
You misunderstand people here, EVE maybe wasn't perfect in a software sense, as a game universe it was perfect (with a few rough edges here and there that have been improved).
Originally by: Mangus Thermopyle Its also interesting to see how the very same players who said that rookies should not care about new content for experienced players, also argue AGAINST new content for new players.
Content is content. You might think freighters and dreadnaughts are unattainable for you and you might be right. You can still produce them or their parts. You can still research their component bpo's. You can still assist in guarding these ships. You can still assist in destroying these ships. Content is content.
I'm nearing 2 years in EVE, and flying a dread is not even on my wishlist, it would take about 2 or 3 months to for me to be able to board such a ship and pilot it with acceptable skills. I don't see the need, I still have fun killing people in cruisers or frigates. If I want to take out a starbase or conquer and outpost (which is the only useful thing a dread can do at the moment) I'll wait for a corpmate to attain the necesary skills and support him while he does his job.

I guess you get to see the real self behind the avatars in thread like this one
It's also easy to spot the people that expect WoW like gameplay and interaction.
