Just an idea a skill what reduces the time your ship needs to align to warp say 5% per level or something because sometimes its a pain when your ship decides its going to take ages to set its path to warp? Born To Be Wild!!!! |

These skills/modules already exist 
-> Evasive Manuevering -> Spaceship Command -> Nanofiber/Inertia Stabilizer

You enter warp at something like 80% of your top speed. How fast you accelerate to your top speed is purely based on agility.

Well, obviously what he has in mind already exists, but what about a skill that reduces the needed percentage of max velocity needed to enter warp? Say at level 5 your ship, if properly aligned, would warp at 50% of max veloxity instead of 80%. Just a thought. ---

at 50%, you'd be warping out about ten times as fast. It's the last 10% of the speeding up that takes the time

I think its a good idea, make the skill say rank 3 or 4 and have it requiring Nav l4 and Evasive l4. If you wana learn it youve gotta earn it!!

It is already way too easy to warp off in time, unless you're in a BS with barely existant navigation skills.

I believe speed to warp is determined by inertia and speed to align correctly is determined by agility.

Oh, I'm sure you also meant to include Advanced Spaceship Command in there also (especially since it has a better agility bonus than just spaceship command from 2% -> 5%).
Level 5 of spaceship command gives a 10% agility bonus and level 2 of ASC give the same bonus (of course you MUST have SC at 5 first). I think that EM gives you the same 5% bonus (more affordably) than ASC gives.

So only effects dreads and freighters.

If a skill would be introduced which further decreases warp-off time, lots of people would whine that you cannot stop blockade runner. A Inty with stabs goes into warp nearly insta. A shuttle with good skills also needs 1-2 seconds to go to warp. I think big sluggish ships sould take tome time to go to warp to have a chance to intercept them.

Cruisers and indys already go into warp too fast since the last patch. U need at least 2 sensor booster IIs on a bs to catch either. ----------------------------------------- WoW player > Oh no I died! I have to walk now a bit! |
