I do not know how these transfers work, i presume as there is no protected mechanism in game, payement is enforced by gm/eula order to stop abuse?

CCP I hope will post the results of there actions to this soon. I for one am loosing faith in the system if it is this easy to scam. Figure out the name and u know my game!

I got char scamed about 1 month ago I sent ccp all the info the names of the people details and all the info you could possable need. We are both anxious to get our characters back and move on with our lives in Eve. I (and I am sure Cellphone too) appreciate the great public support we have received from the Eve community. I only hope that the matter is solved appropriately and that the future of trades on the forums for honest players is not put into jeopardy.

Azel Asi	Posted - 2005.09.18 05:52:00 - [44] A Final update from my end...Many thanks to GM Gusto and the CCP team...they have returned Azel Asi to my account and Choi to Cellphone...it seems there is indeed protection for character trades/purchases on the Eve official forums... Once again I thank the Eve community for their support as I am sure the 900 or so hits this topic got helped get CCP's attention...fly safe everyone!!!

This action has re-stored alittle of my faith in GM¦s...But I got a small round-about from 2 of them re-garding this "case"... But Azel got the petition to work not me...I only got responses like "you made a deal and that deal has not been broken" I was going to give Demon 12, 2 months to mine with the character to pay for it...And then he goes and trades it for a 11 mill SP character and says he will pay when he makes enough money with that character...If the deal was to mine with the character he got and he trades it...It is a breach of contract/deal and therefor he is a scammer and I really don¦t like such players...They ruin the game for us who play the game honestly...Even some pirates are honest on the forums... Well the matter is now resolved and my trust in people has suffered at least 50% because of this...even before I was not a trusting person.... Fly safe you all and be well Cellphone

Giving this type of ppl time to pay etc doesnt work. they will twist and retwist everything and use your goodwill to basically screw you. Good luck. Death Before Dishonor.

That's for accounts, not for characters. There is an actual facility to give a character to another account login name in eve. However there is no facility to hold isks while the character is checked. So you need to find a CEO/Director of a well respected corp, like NAGA or BIG, and ask them if they would do it - usually some isks will help with this ;-) Then the seller transfers the character while the buyer can check the skills/attributes/assets match those in the auction. When the buyer is happy he tells the CEO/Director and then the isks are transferred to the seller. I would guess that Demon12 is not actually a bad person, as he was trying to repay and clear things up. I think he got out a bit out of control with trying to recover the isks, perhaps if he had gotten the isks through the auction then it might have worked out ok. Kudos to the GM's who sorted it out. And a smack on the wrists for the one's who weren't interested.
