Should have got your isk first - then transferred it to him. As for Demon 12, abusing the character transfer option is a bannable offence I think. Better payup before the petition is investigated or you won't be playing eve much longer

umm believe me if i had another cookie to eat i would have done it ( ate them all ) and as i said in my previous statement i intend on still paying for it. so if the seller would not jump to conclusions that would be great. and yes they do think twice about banning people =)

Until the character sale has been fixed perhaps this auction should be postponed?
Anyone bidding on this char must be suspicious due to the previous owner claiming that they haven't been paid, and the new owner won't explain what the problem or solution is.

Let¦s just put it this way. If you go and buy a guitar on credit in a store you can NOT sell that guitar until it is yours to sell....Your Dept is 1,561.000.000 Billion isk or the character back...You have 2 days Demon 12....Either someone buys the character and you pay me or you transfer the character back...
I put trust in Eve players for I want players to be trustworthy...I put some real work into that Character...Blood, Sweat and tears...I had no money to keep the account open and therefor I had to sell the character...Now I have one account and that account has 3 characters...I have worked hard on each and everyone of my characters and I hate that they are being sold as cheap labor and quick money fix....
Bid on this character if you want...but know this!!! The character was bought for 1,561.000.000 Billion isk and all isk above that is the transfer fee and his own depts...Not character worth....Happy Bidding

As for the Person who *bought* this character off you, well you should be ashamed of yerself. IF YOU DONT HAVE THE ISK THEN DONT BID!!

Trying to cover tracks or something...it¦s all digitized so i don¦t see why he would go through all this trouble....Admins and moderators READ THE DAMN THREAD AND REPORT HIM NOW!!!

Cellphone....I assure you I didnt know I was recieving tainted goods...I have been in contact with the character's original owner and filed the necessary petitions so that this can all get sorted out. See my thread below for futher details. I just wished I payed as much attention to the forums as you all do

Quite bizzare.
I presume cellphone isn't in agreement with demon 12 judging by the last responces, despite him saying to the contrary.
I do not know how these transfers work, i presume as there is no protected mechanism in game, payement is enforced by gm/eula order to stop abuse?

I have all ready lost faith in the system. I got char scamed about 1 month ago I sent ccp all the info the names of the people details and all the info you could possable need. Cellphone I hope it dosent take 3 weeks for you to get your problem resolved.

Just an update...both Cellphone and I have petitioned CCP twice (in game and out) and neither of us have received a reply. We are both anxious to get our characters back and move on with our lives in Eve.
I (and I am sure Cellphone too) appreciate the great public support we have received from the Eve community. I only hope that the matter is solved appropriately and that the future of trades on the forums for honest players is not put into jeopardy.

I hope CCP does something to prove that character transfers thru isk are looked after because that kind of exchange should be done with the knowledge there is someone you can turn to if something goes wrong.

A further update to the situation, GM Gusto has contacted me and is now investigating the matter. I hope for a timely resolution as the evidence against Demon 12 is quite straightforward.

A Final update from my end...Many thanks to GM Gusto and the CCP team...they have returned Azel Asi to my account and Choi to Cellphone...it seems there is indeed protection for character trades/purchases on the Eve official forums...
Once again I thank the Eve community for their support as I am sure the 900 or so hits this topic got helped get CCP's attention...fly safe everyone!!!

Yes the characters have been returned to both me and Azel Asi...
This action has re-stored alittle of my faith in GM¦s...But I got a small round-about from 2 of them re-garding this "case"...
But Azel got the petition to work not me...I only got responses like "you made a deal and that deal has not been broken"
I was going to give Demon 12, 2 months to mine with the character to pay for it...And then he goes and trades it for a 11 mill SP character and says he will pay when he makes enough money with that character...If the deal was to mine with the character he got and he trades it...It is a breach of contract/deal and therefor he is a scammer and I really don¦t like such players...They ruin the game for us who play the game honestly...Even some pirates are honest on the forums...
Well the matter is now resolved and my trust in people has suffered at least 50% because of this...even before I was not a trusting person....

Cellphone im glad all is sorted out but.. you should have sent a petition right when the char was transfered to his account and he didnt deposit the cash you sold it for.
Giving this type of ppl time to pay etc doesnt work. they will twist and retwist everything and
use your goodwill to basically screw you.

That's for accounts, not for characters. There is an actual facility to give a character to another account login name in eve. However there is no facility to hold isks while the character is checked. So you need to find a CEO/Director of a well respected corp, like NAGA or BIG, and ask them if they would do it - usually some isks will help with this ;-)
Then the seller transfers the character while the buyer can check the skills/attributes/assets match those in the auction. When the buyer is happy he tells the CEO/Director and then the isks are transferred to the seller.
I would guess that Demon12 is not actually a bad person, as he was trying to repay and clear things up. I think he got out a bit out of control with trying to recover the isks, perhaps if he had gotten the isks through the auction then it might have worked out ok.
Kudos to the GM's who sorted it out. And a smack on the wrists for the one's who weren't interested.
