Originally by: Waldo Barnstormer sucks for you man, but complaints should really be directed towards the GM's by email if i understand correctly.
Tried that in a recent petition and was thretend with a warning to my account by the GM.
And im not saying that GM's do a ****ty job all the time but if i compare how u are treated today compared to a year ago it's like day and night.
As i have said before, the GM's need to be allowed to use common sense because even if the server don't log everything some things just can't happen or like in magickangaroo's case where there is a realy good fraps showing the event's.
ps. if u haven't seens the fraps here it is.

Originally by: Kanuo Ashkeron I think it¦s not fair to complain about customer service if someone doesn¦t get his BS back. Most of the time they reply quite quickly to a petition, and this should be the measurement of good customer service and not the content.
Furthermore I would be an angry customer, when hearing other players get reimbursements of losses that resulted in their lack of understanding the gameplay.
By asking them to use common sense, these people seem to loose theirs. For people who lost a ship to a strange bug it¦s obviously clear that that happened and so on. But the GM doesn¦t played in front of your computer.

Have a look at the vid i linked to earlier and come back and say that there is any doubt as to what happend and that he shuldnt get reembursed, that's the common sense im talking about as it's more then obvious what went wrong there.
There are other examples but this one is just so good to prove a point that no others are needed.

The problem is, the client is in the hands of the enemy. You can not trust anything the end-user provides as evidence.
Sad, but true.
Well i see it like this, using the vid as an example.
If u set up your comp to lag horribly then jump in to a 30 ship enemy camp with bubbles while frapsing it for 6 minutes just to get your BS reembursed u shuld get it back for the effort alone =)
Other then that the server do have log on when the ship was killed and what system so it shuld be easy to compare with the vid hence common sens says that it's a valid petition.
Let's hope that CCP will finish the vid recording tool so we can record with clear picture thous making it realy hard to forge them, and hopefully allow atleast those recordings as valid proof for petitions. As the GM's have become more and more harsh and even as in my case threatening we as players need more tools that are a valid form of proof or the server need to log more.

Originally by: z***edfgd But more than that, I can't support reimbursement complaints generally either. As far as I know, CCP is the only game company having a reimbursement policy.
Well this could have been a valid point if EVE wasn't the only game on the market that actualy has a rather harsh panalty for dieing (no complaints about that, that's one thing that makes EVE great) thus making bugs cost u alot of game time and effort hence the need for reembursment.
