I am looking for innovative fittings for my Macherial. I am haveing a ***** of a time with it. I slaped my friends Nightmare together withotu seat... but i'm @ an impass with the Mach.
I'm looking for PvP fittings, either long or short, shield or armor. Somethign that is truely deserving of such a magnificent Ship.
Thanks in advance

The Macherial is a Tempest with bigger balls. Same exact fittings as a Temp. Difference come in the areas of speed, toughness and an extra bonus. Treat it like a temp...just stand with your legs a little further apart when you do.

Edited by: KilROCK on 18/09/2005 00:25:48 I like hmmm.... 6x 650mm II, 2 large nos or 1 nos/1 smartbomb 100mn AB, web, disruptor, cap injector, target painter/targeting disruptor 2 large rep or 1 humongous 11xx hp, 1600mm II or tungsten, 3 hardeners (best you can find), and 1/2 damage mod depending if you went for 1 rep.
It gets more than 10k armor, goes 500m/s and up and it kicks ass.
Oh and.. It fits.

I had a setup nearly liek this... but with more plates. My quandry with this setup is.... Do the large arties really benefit from the Tracking bonus of the ship. Does useing plates negate the ships inate speed advantage?
Quandry quandry.

come on all these setups dont have the balls. you should run 6 1400mm tech2, 6 tech2 damage mods, 1 tech2 reacter controle or pdu2, 3 shield harders, 1 tech2 large shield booster, 1 sensor booster2, then what ever you can fit in other 2 high slots but it dont matter it will fire at about 8.5 sec lol

No balls? The setup you listed is ****. And doesn't fit. I use 4 domination gyros, 2 gyro II and low CPU shield hardeners and it barely fits to get a Gist XL c-type shield booster in it.
Before you actually dish others setup, try to fit a setup that is good for a machariel.. Large shield booster t2.... what a joke.
I gave the Autocannons based setup because i never bothered using it, It has more survivability which is good for a ship that cost (sadly) 500-600m to get.
You can effectivly fit a 1400mm II platform on it, it does big damage, it can tank 'well' if you got proper modules for a short period of time (which is pretty much all you need if you are in medium range battles). The problem is the CPU and damage mod, which don't fit together at all. Go for 1400mm II/Officer/Domination or whatever if you want, you'll need Domination gyros and good shield tank mods.

1 x XL shield booster some other stuff that dont use a whole lot of CPU
Dmg mods, full rack of them

i beg to differ since i use this setup i listed. it does fit and it isnt a close range setup. its a long range great gate camp or lev4 mission setup.

TBH, the close range autocannon setup has "balls" as opposed to your npc/gatecamp setup. What a boring way to use that ship.

balls = blasters, autocannons, megapulses In this order...
Ghey = long range.

Balls is fitting it with realy expensive equipment and then go do some solo PvP! Without risk of loosing a lot, the word balls is meaningless!
Check out my Shield/Armor resistance calculator.

I knew how to setup the Fleet Tempest just fine.... she stood upt o 4/5 Pure damage BS's and a few Hac's for 160 secs before she went down. Shield tank 4tw on that 1....
This mac tho... It seems to scream Sniper to me.... but thats just boreing. I cant go shield with it, no real point... a Fleet Temp would do that better.
Maybe the 650 t2's cfg is the best one....

My fitting, eats Seraphims alive and tanks like a charm, but it was quite expensive: 6 x Domination 800mm 2 x 'Arbalest' Siege Gist X-Large Shield Booster + Amplifier 2 x Shield Hardeners (usualy kinetic+em cause I fight Angels) 1 x Cap Rec II 2 x PDU II, 1 x Selynne PDU 4 x Domination Gyro
8654 Shield HP (9000+ in gang) 2.22 ROF on 800mm and 6.2x Damage Modifier
But mind you, this is a npcing fitting.
Life is a joke, but I don't feel like laughing |

Edited by: Trevedian on 19/09/2005 02:08:49 I had a blast with my Machariel before I sold it. This ship has the most useful bonuses of any Faction Battleship ingame imo. (25% damage, tracking, ROF)
I fit mine with a total gank setup and a target painter II and some tracking comp II's and a sensor booster II in meds.
I had two Tobias 1400mm's and they get an insane damage mod.
On another matter... I admire WarChild cuz he has the balls to actually fight in a Faction BS, while many just leave them in a hangar and rub them with a diaper (Kr0m pwned his Fleet Issue Tempest that had the most pimp setup of any ship I ever saw killed). I ran from that pimp Fleet Issue Tempest several times when I was getting pwned, I shudder to think how ebil WarChild will be with this new toy.
Sex0r > you're bounty turns me on.. you seem like the kind of amarrian to dominate me
