Well it wasn't to you exactly...i did word that wrong, i just thought i'd better say it incase every *** person in eve comes in here and thinks im some sort of anti-*** type person, who hates *** people, etc...didnt want to send out that kinda message is all.
Anyhoo, I really don't think i missed the point, i was merely saying you were wrong to even link those things together, as there's no way you'd see "he was forced out of the Navy because he was black".
What I do wonder though, is why the word *** is censored. ...perhaps I shouldn't mention that? ...sorry Mods

I would say that Lo3d3r's attitude is merely bizarre. For example, if his post was entitled "heterosexual pilots...lol" I wouldn't find it offensive, just odd. He isn't saying anything offensive, he just finds *** pilots amusing, which is a bit odd.
If somebody posted "WTF! Gallente are white men" again, not offensive, just odd. I certainly wouldn't be offended. I wouldn't give a damn to be honest.
Lo3d3r doesn't say anything openly offensive. He doesn't insult anyone.

Ah, but that is where I think you're missing the point. The original post was laughing at the fact that the character was ***, not at the storyline surrounding it. Personally I think laughing at someone *purely* because of their sexuality is exactly the same as laughing at someone because of their race, religion, disability or whatever. Predjudice is predjudice.

On a tangent, I knew the guy who first sued the US navy for kicking him out for being ***. He became an artist though not a pirate

Some ppl will be offended by anything. It's a simple fact of life for those making newspapers, books, films or simply walking down the street.
I actually asked a g a y friend of mine of he thought this to be offensive to g a y men.
He just laughed and told me a heterojoke *frown* - now those are offensive!
