Cooler is a matter of opinion. I'm not near the anime fan that my friend is, but if you CGI it then I'm usually sold. I prefer Appleseed Ex Machina over Ghost in a Shell.

Imo atm cgi has been stuck in the uncanny valley for quite a while now. Trying to mimick human emotions but failing miserabling has its artists has only heard of crayon |

I take it you visit cracked.com then. That was a pretty cool article Brockway wrote, some interesting shorts there. I particularly enjoyed "The Gift".
