I played for a while in 2008 but quit after a few weeks. I wanna continue this character but how do I do it? I've lost any planning I had.
I know I wanted to be a pirate or some sort of combat focused character. These are the stats I had

And this is my character and attributes

Does anyone have any tips where to go from here? I can respec my attributes if needed. |

You quit after a few weeks, so you have basically nothing.
Start by picking a race. Find one of the new character mission trainers for that race, do the tutorial missions.
Then do the Sisters of Eve epic arc (the Blood-Stained Stars).
Train your racial frigate and cruiser skills for that race, your relevant tanking skills, and your fitting skills while you're doing this.
By this point you should have some idea where to start. |

Can I transfer my money and items over to the other character? |

If you start the new character on another of the three character slots you have per account, then yes, you can create person-to-person contracts between the two characters. Ok thanks. If I wanted to be a pirate(or that kind of combat, pvp area) are there any good guides to show what I should do? Like what skills and attributes? |

Okay...
1.) Make an API. 2.) Get to EVEboard.com 3.) Use that, those screenshots are just plain bad. When a WoW player leaves to return to WoW, the avg. IQ of both games rises. Professional Forum Thread locker. |

First thing I spot...almost no core skills.
Train them up, you will love those.
If it increases:
Capacitor amount Capacitor recharge Shield HP Shield Recharge Armor HP Structure HP Powergrid amount CPU amount Velocity amount Agility...
Those things affect ALL ships, so you can't go wrong with training them up. When a WoW player leaves to return to WoW, the avg. IQ of both games rises. Professional Forum Thread locker. |

What are the core skills? Are they called that or just ones everyone should have?
Edit: Oh the skills you start with? |

Electronics (Increases CPU for each level trained) Targeting (adds number of locked targets - IV is quite decent for a lot of ships) Signature Analysis (as locking faster is always good) Long range targeting (specially if you like long range weapons, they are useless if you can't lock that far).
Energy System Operation (increases Capacitor recharge) Energy Management (adds capacitor amount) Engineering (adds powergrid) Shield Management (Adds shield HP) Shield Operation (adds shield recharge)
Evasive Maneuvering (makes you more agile) Navigation (makes you faster) Warp Drive Operation (makes you enter warp with less capacitor)
Hull upgrades (adds armor HP) Mechanics (adds structure HP)

Core skills = core competency certs. Check your character sheet's certificate page. Also, show-info on the ships you want and there's a recommended certs tab. They sometimes have skills you might not strictly need, or they might not reflect every possible skill, but it's still a damned good idea to train at least those (and probably higher) on any ship you'll be flying much.
Evemon will be a good tool for you to figure stuff out, focus mostly ships you want to fly + their fittings + the recommended certs. Once you join a good PVP corp, they will help you prioritize ships/modules/skills that will be useful to the kind of PVP tactics they use. Add those to your skillplan in Evemon, which will help you prioritize your attribute remap.
Quite a lot has changed. I'm pretty certain that just by doing the tutorials and epic arc, you'll make more than a 1-week old toon from 4 years ago. You're basically starting over, so embrace that and take advantage of it. Maxim 34: If you're leaving scorch-marks, you need a bigger gun. |

Thanks!! I made a new character so I'll do it on this one. I'll train these up. I'd like to try piracy things such as tackling eventually. Should I train all of them?
Should I min/max my attributes? |
