CCP Games would like to invite all our players to a gathering in the center of Newcastle to drink and celebrate the glory of New Eden and our 10th Anniversary.
The Details are:
Location : The Black Swan, Westgate Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1SG.
City : Newcastle, United Kingdom.
Date : Thursday May 9th, 2013.
Time : 19:00 onwards.
CCP Unifex, Executive Producer for EVE Online, along with myself and a host of DUST 514 developers from our Newcastle office will be on hand to share drinks with you and celebrate the beginning of New Eden's second decade.

It's a 5 hours autopilot journey from where I live, but I'm pretty confident I can make it this time! And if we're going to have drinks to the 10th anniversary, that's just the icing on the cake!!

if its raining again make sure you hire a boat to. also im a Mackem so will there be a VIP area for us as we can't mix with those dirty gordies.

I nearly died in an almost aborted dual engine landing trying to get back for this in time last time round but made me there in one soggy shoed piece.
Would like to think I can do the same again I will undoubtely be space broless but would love to talk to someoneabout Dust controls and weapon designs. |

Newcastle is a fair distance away from Norfolk, but I'd still be up for it depending on how much it costs for accommodation. Any idea what the going rate is for a room? |

A corp mate and I attended this last year, it was absolutely fantastic. Great venue and quite informative, plus abducting a drunk Dev or two for after-event drinks is always fun ;)
Still wondering when CCP is going to put the flashy light back on top of the Navy Comet though...I never did get an answer. Having the cheif Dev mutter 'bloody pirates' was priceless though XD
For those wondering, there is plenty of accommodation available in Newcastle; the royal station hotel is the easiest to find and offers some very nice rooms for around -ú45--ú60. Plenty of others around, travel lodge just outside the town gives you a roof over your head for the night at around -ú25 to -ú30. I'm personally traveling from London, prebooked train tickets are about -ú25 each way. Hope this helps! |
