I wanted to see if i should get a intelligence implant, so i calculated the training time i would get with and without implant.
The actual training time to train Analytical Mind ingame shows 6d14h38m, but using the formula (needed SP)/(Primary attribute*(sec attribute/2)) I have 14 intelligence and 15 memory, respectively 15,12 and 16,2 with learning 4. The theoretical training time i got was 8870 minutes, which is roughly 6d3h50m, which is quite different from the ingame time of 6d14h38m
Has the formula changed, or have i done something wrong ?

Originally by: Hllaxiu They numbers you see are truncated. In fact, your attributes are calculated and stored with double precision worth of decimals like everything else in game. That 15 could be 15.9... get your base stats and then add your attribute skill bonuses, then implants, then multiply the sum by the learning skill.
I did write my stats were 15.12 and 16.2

didnt know they were already applied and that its truncated to the first decimal doesnt that mean that learning is pretty useless for low attributes ? >.<

Originally by: Reiisha Your attribute window shows the already enhanced stats. The 14 is actually 14.04, and the 15 is actually 15.12
Your learning skill is already taken into account.
However, EVE uses the attributes up to 1 decimal, so the attribs become 14.0 and 15.1 (notice the 14.0 - not 14! It DOES make a difference, due to rounding).
if i truncate them like that, ie use 14 and 15,1 i get 9537 minutes, but if i use 14,04 and 15,12 i get 9518
(see post #6)

No, because the values are truncated only for displaying. The actual values (decimals and all) are used in the in-game calculations.
i posted that before i noticed the game doesnt actually round the [attributes with learning % applied] down to 1 decimal Should have updated the post
