Simple question really, I fly a suckadom with REALLY quick lock time, normally get a pod scrammed but cant attack it. If im flying solo I actually have to hold the pod till someone can come shoot it. What gives?

Drones instalock. If drones could attack pods, they'd pod faster than any interceptor (at least groups of them). Apparently making the code run so that they didn't attack pods unless ordered to do so was too complicated or something.

Also can you imagine being locked down in a Pod and haveing some tit in a drone ship attack you with a single Light Drone and watching your health slowly decrease.
Not fun.

I don't see why there needs to be a way around it. If you want to kill a pod, fit a gun.

A pod can't attack you. Drones wouldn't shoot it by default. What he's talking about is locking *then* ordering to shoot, in which case your case is moot.

Um, no, not quite.
My top speed = 110m/s
Pod top speed = what, 115?
So I would never catch it to sb it. My ideal range for fighting is never close enough for a SB on the pod.

I have to agree, the drones attack everything else even when you don't want them to, so let that include pods
On a side note, I would rather get the 'drones getting tangled' issue fixed

Bah! If you want to blow up a defenceless pod, you're going to have to work for it! You can only fit three-four large nos on that thing. I'm sure ONE medium neutralizer or nos isn't going to hurt you all that bad, is it?

Actually I dont understand why drones dont attack pods too.
Why people should gimp their set up just to kill pods.
Noone asks to let the drones auto attack pods but they definetely should kill pods after direct command.

Im a pirate and how but how i pod people instant is with a large smart bomb, it pays off bigtime to have it on incase of a missle war and everyhting aswell as it wont kill the container befor it pods him in about 2 hits, i have yet let a person i killed get away with there pod

Drones use the same code as NPC's amd Concord...
Giving them the ability to pod would probably open a can of worms with the programming and end up getting people podded by 3k rats.
