Imran	Posted - 2005.09.27 19:03:00 - [1] K, Who else thinks this game is cool :]. Though...it feels a bit smaller, and iron sight on the garand is kinda annoying ^^ (damn realism). Also i kinda miss the ambient sounds in the background. Nonetheless, i love it so far. 10000x better than that joke of a game called CS Source.

I tried the same with DODS and got a BSOD. I removed the 4X Anti setting and that was the end of the BSOD's. Problem is, I have all detail at low, RES at 1024x768, and my FPS is around 40 until I get shot at or shoot at someone, then it goes down to 8. Very hard to aim & fire with an FPS of 8 :( AMD 2500+ Barton. ASUS NFORCE2 MB with 1GB of Corsair dual channel RAM. NVIDIA 5900 Ultra 256MB Is this machine just not gonna cut it for DODS? Is there an option in DODS to turn off gunfire & the blood etc? I'd rather not see if it allows me to keep my FPS at 40... I'm not going to get a new comp just for DODS, my 3 comps at home all play EVE just fine... Any suggestions? ------------------------------------------------ Current Hobby other than EVE

BlueSmok	Posted - 2005.09.28 20:46:00 - [8] I absolutely love the new DOD Source! the detail and the being able to hear gun fire accross the level when a MG is firing is awsome :) Some of the new weapons are a pain, grenades bounce way too much, especialy the rifle grenades. Love the ability for the MG'ers to setup virtualy anywhere, and quickly * Laws to suppress tend to strengthen what they would prohibit. Computer games is a big hit in regards of rewriting history. Some use this tool more than others. Think about it, if the spanish had internet and mmorgs in the year 1499, stuff would have been different .

(Which I will try tonight) Rofl, i dont even have dod source and know the answer for that (): You Cant Use AA with HDR. I remember reading about it a lil bit, i think AA is made my ur gfx card (hardware), and aa will only be possible with hdr, when aa is done trough software (i think that next big game (unreal something) will have that. HDR is a very demanding technology, you cant expect to play it well on a GF FX card, deactivate, and i think you'll be fine Signature made by Mr Floppykickners
