1. Ice Mining - Hulk vs Mackinaw - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Celest Krah'n Originally by: Aeaus No, that isn't possible, one unit of ice as you would get from the survey scanner is physically one unit of ice, or 1,000m3 :) Not sure if I'm misreading that part, or if you're...

2. Ice Mining - Hulk vs Mackinaw - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Celest Krah'n Using Eve Fitting Tool it shows cycle times of 351.5625 sec for Mackinaw and 318.75 for Hulk. Which is roughly an 88 sec per ice average for the Mackinaw and a 106 second per ice average for the Hulk. But, with...

3. Ice Mining - Hulk vs Mackinaw - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Celest Krah'n Is that taking the cargo hold into account as well? Mackinaw has a cargohold of 5K, that's enough for one cycle of ICE, the Mackinaw will require more cargo space for ice since it's mining it faster, but, ...

5. Ice Mining - Hulk vs Mackinaw - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
For the ease of calculation, assuming no skills but the exhumer skill :) ICE Harvester II = 500 Second Duration Mackinaw = 2 (Turrets) * 3600 / 500 * .5 (Double Yield), * 1.25 (25% Duration Penalty), * .75 (25% Duration Bonus) = 30.72 ICE/Hour ...

8. Ice land mathematics? Please do explain this one.... - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
If I recall the "optimal" (as in, no waste) ME is highest resource / 5 rounded down. Translation : You didn't do your research, wasted time, money, and an ME slot for no bonus.

9. Zealots and Vagabonds, Enlighten me - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Liang Nuren I'm *REASONABLY* sure that fitting a TE over the 4th Gyro will yield you more actual DPS (in game). 4th Damage mod gives a 10.803% bonus (from the starting DPS), I don't think a small bonus to a sub 10 KMs ...

11. Black Ops good on paper, a joke in reality? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Uhm, yea, I mean, that's over the top for calculations. T2 ACRs? Maximum Alpha Focused Implants? Why don't you go out and actually buy all that, fit it, and then come back claiming how rigs which cost 400M+ a piece aren't too expensive for this p...

Originally by: Velox Idolon the panther can get an alpha of 6.3-4k without counting wreckings, the redeemer can get about a 5k alpha and 1000ish dps, the sin about 4 and a bit thousand alpha (all at 50km), and the widow can do about 900...

14. Black Ops good on paper, a joke in reality? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I'm not too sure about fuel being a problem, recons have fairly large cargo bays and there's hardly anything stopping an organized group from each dropping a can with the amount of jump fuel they need and the Black Ops constantly refilling. Yes, i...

16. The age old Thorax debate, please sound off within. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
The one with more DPS. Simply for the pure reason that a Thorax won't be any to fit any decent passive tank even with a 1600 RT Plate, it's a cruiser, with huge bonuses to DPS, go for that :) Plus, if I recall correctly, the setup Star Fraction f...

19. best armor tank for a command ship - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Damnation Passive Tank = 2 x 1600 EANMs + Work the Rest Out w/o active repairers. It has over 300K Effective HP with just T2 mods, each rep won't contribute enough to be worth putting up there, deal with it later :)

20. Buffer or Active Tank for PVP? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
It really depends, but generally for PVP it's buffer tank, but, with the number of exceptions it comes down to each ship and to which role you try to fill with it. The good news, is that the skills you need for both overlap to such a degree that...
