I would rather just buy the artbook and maybe the CD separately (will buy the in game stuff for ISK, not interested in the board game) since I can't imagine those two items going for the price of the collector's edition. I want to wait to see if these items will be available separately, but don't want to miss out on getting them. The original Eve artbook is gorgeous and I was wondering if the new one is matching and the same dimensions since it looks square as well.

Given that the video card that CCP sold for plex cost 20 plex i would say that the Collector's Edition should cost no more then 10 plex each. That would be fair given the going rate for plex being about $20US so that would make it about $200US that we would be paying with plex. Placing it right on the track for how much it would cost if we bought it out right.

They are however supposed to charge the VAT rate that applies to the country that the buyer is in ( if registered outside the EU ). Instead, they charge a flat amount, VAT doesn't even show up ( which I think is actually against consumer laws in most EU countries ), and they pocket the difference. Even if I could get VAT refunded on video games where I live, I wouldn't be able to, since I have no receipt showing how much VAT I payed, and even if, I would only be able to get the 20% VAT that applies in my country, not the 30% CCP is making me pay. It's no coincidence that all of the EVE Store stuff is only available on US Amazon and not available to be shipped to the EU GÇô CCP simply doesn't want another outlet that deals in EUR, for the stuff they are selling. The fact that CCP has a GBP price structure for subscription, but the CE is not offered in GBP, speaks volumes about what is going on here.

You are supposed to pay VAT when it goes through customs in Switzerland. Still, 126 EUR is 164 USD and it is no excuse for charging everyone in the EU the same, even when VAT is different. Because funny enough Blizzard doesn't look for a way around it, a subscription is 12.99Gé¼ or 11.99 and the brits pay 10-ú and 14.99$ for the americans etc. But here in Eve , even tho blizzard pays VAT as well, they dont treat people differently I don't care if its because European people have more money, i want f..... equality just like women got the right to vote in the early 1900's
