I have some problems with my Station Services and (Space) Overview windows since the last patch.
They both do not retain the set size and position though both are pinned.
My Station Services are supposed to be quite broad over the right side of the screen, but after each dock appear tiny (yet not minimized) in the lower right corner.
The Overview window is set to cover about half of the screen height, but appears equally small in the upper right corner.
I can live with it, but dragging these to size after each dock/undock will be a nuissance over time.

Yes same here. I forgot how bad the window thing used to be. I would rather have the door than this window crap again. |

This bug has to do with the ship-spinning, it only happens in spinning mode and after switching back to CQ. Just stick with the CQ, it runs a bit better than pre patch, and wait for a patch xD |

before you dock, minimize everything that might overlap with your station services tab such as overview, selected item, drones etc.
and before you undock, minimize the station services tab like you do with the others. this way, they don't overlap at any point and will retain their original dimensions |

Except were not supposed to do that, but yes it is a nice work around, but you try remembering that on your 4 active accounts you jump around most of the day doing stuff, its quite annoying, but i hope there will be a fix for it in the future, and before they took ship spinning out, it wasnt a problem before. |

Yes, I agree that it's not a great workaround at all but it's the only thing i can think of and that process is a lot less hassle than resizing 3 windows each time i undock.
CCP really should've picked up on this at the testing stage. it's a pretty damn easy bug to pick up on...... |

You're assuming there IS a 'testing stage'. As far as I can tell from experiencing CCP's development process, they skip that part. |

Please check if the "Reset All Window Positions" within the "Reset Settings" tab of the game options helps the windows to remember their settings properly after you've reorganized them.

reset window positions. this worked for me. all stayed where i put it so far after reset

well. at least it worked for a few docking attempts. now its back... so resetting the stuff didn't fix it.

Checking off Lock Windows When Pinned and changing snap distance to Don't Snap seemed to work for me after pinning all the windows. |

Work Around: Moving your station services window to another part of your screen, an area where your overview does not occupy when you are undocked.
The issue lies in the overlap as mentioned earlier, but minimizing all the time is a hassle. Moving the station services to say for example, the middle of your screen whilst docked, stops your overview windows from resizing and repositioning when you undock. |

Same problem here, clearing cache and resetting windows position didn't help. Damn windows keep resizing and moving.

I have the same window problem as the others describe before me
I have reset my windows to no avail.
I put my station windows in my preferred size and position, undock - dock, and then e.g. the Station Services window has resized itself again.
Same accounts for Overview. Undock put window in proper position, dock - undock, and then the overview window is on another location again :(
Please fix. |

The workaround works, thanks for that.
And thanks for those who tried to reset window positions - I was reluctant to do that because I would have had to rebuild a hundred or so container windows...
I hope CCP finds a solution soon
