For two weeks now parts of ASCN has invaded pure blind. They've been more or less attacking through EC non stop. After fighting every day for two weeks I can honestly say that I am yet to see a single hostile word in local from them. This is unprecedented for me and for that I think you should be considered rolemodels in this game when it comes to classy pvp'ers.
Good fight and may it continue a long time.

We had a fight with ASCN in Pureblind last week, was the best fight I'd had in ages and not a word of smack
Definitely a refreshing change

Makes a change, smack is so easily delivered and TBH atm tends to come from small corps rather than large alliance or corps.

Most of you northern folks don't get enough credit for your combat abilities, some very good battles tacking place.

Having just joined the invasion myself, it's good to see my brothers have been living up to and often exceeding the rigorous standards that are expected of them. Smack, it must be said, is for children - and it's good to be working with a bunch of solid grown-ups.

Besides the obvious level of maturity shown by both sides during this conflict I'd also say that the increased use of cheap ships (T1 Cruisers, etc) contributes to the 'War in Space - Peace in Local' situation we currently have. PvP'ing in disposable ships is just pure fun because you don't have to worry about shiplosses and thus not get worked up about it (which would usually result in smacktalk).

I agree totally Killer8. Cheapie ships are FUN! Especially since it encourages more suicide and less monitoring of the Killboards (omg look we killed one more Rax than you!!). Nothing is more boring than sniperfests of 150km+. Warp in, slug it out, live/run/die - in cheapie ships everyone just has a good time and cheers in local afterwards.

We came down with a frig fleet and engaged far superior numbers at EC-P and it was a blast . If only you guys could have been there when the Mordus Legion patrol showed up.
Props to ASCN for being a class act. -----

I have to honestly say, you guys absolutely rock as well. Sometimes the fleet who is outmaneuvered-outgunned-outnumbered still pushes the bad position, and gets great results. It cuts both ways, and is the most fun in PvP that I've had in a very long time.
Sometimes we both hit and run, sometimes we both hit and hit and hit until there is a lot of little cans everywhere. The use of relatively cheap (but very effective) ships and sensible tactics certainly makes this entire area a blast to play in for everyone IMO.
I've even heard of some G guys putting an ASCN person's loot back on escrow in Torrinos.
G/IRON are everything that people have praised them for. Clean sensible fights, taking advantag of everything they can, and pure fun for everyone who is PvP oriented. Even offering fleet-sized duels where applicable.
Occassionaly local does have it's incidents, but I would like to think they are very few and far between.

FE(the corp) GODS and Union people had plenty of smack to sling around in the north when everyone was warring them. It's always nice though to see someone send "GF" into local after a battle, regardless of the outcome.
Favorite saying on TS: This "phoon of Doom" is very easy to kill things with. They die very fast. <---JaegerX

But I have to say, last night was my first night up and it was indeed a blast, and local was mostly clean. Very cool stuff. Kudos to all involved.

Edited by: Gierling on 30/09/2005 17:23:14 Thats because us Hobbits find out that they sell beer in pints up in Pure Blind and we're all too drunk to smack
Seriously though, an abundance of good and utterly crazy fights to be had up there.

Aye the ASCN fights throughout Pure Blind have been fast paced and a whole lot of fun. I've been very impressed with the total absence of smack too, and the T1 combat is a chuckle too :) It's all good, really. ==================== There is 10 types of people in this world... Yeah there have been good fights.
There are entirely too many ASCN however. We kill 5 to 10 of you, and next thing you know 20 are jumping in from Torr. Do you have some kind of direct link to the South to get reinforcements or something? "Speak quietly and carry a big torpedo."

We got the numbers, mate, so we're using them. And yes most of our PvP'rs are implantless and don't mind clonejumping from Tor to ASCN space and back.
